Here are some possible ways companies can work with The Salvation Army through corporate social responsibility:

  1. Embark on a self-initiated projects e.g. organising celebrations, activities, outings for beneficiaries or fundraising and collection drives.
     
  2. Share skills and expertise e.g. organising workshops for beneficiaries or for staff and volunteers to help them do better in their work of helping the beneficiaries.
     
  3. Engage your company's interest groups to do something that is aligned to their interest e.g. sports interest groups can engage in sports with beneficiaries as part of their programmes and activities.
     
  4. Learn a skill together by engaging a teacher/trainer and have staff volunteers and beneficiaries learn a new skill together.
     
  5. Offer valuable human resources, skills and expertise to help The Salvation Army do better in its operations.
     
  6. Embark on intergenerational projects by volunteering with one beneficiary group to bless another beneficiary group.
     
  7. Opening up your company premises for activities, tours or projects.
     
  8. Join an existing volunteer assignment.
     
  9. Help disseminate volunteer opportunities through email, company intranets and/or volunteer notice boards.
     
  10. Providing incentives to encourage staff volunteers to volunteer e.g. providing leave or funding for self-initiated projects.
