Welcome to I WANT TO BE a Salvation Army Volunteer Blog!

The Salvation Army Volunteer (or SA-V) Family currently consist of group, corporate, family and individual volunteers rendering their services on regular, ad-hoc and project basis.

Opportunities to “do good” are abound in areas such as:
  • Reading & Academic Mentorship
  • Entertainment / Befriending
  • Fundraising & Collection Drives

Volunteers can choose to serve in direct services (e.g. providing academic mentorship, befriending and/or sharing a skill with our beneficiaries) or in indirect support services (e.g. offering their expertise in photography, web-design, greeting donors at Donation Booths and/or helping at fundraising events).

Volunteers are welcome to come help us in existing programmes and activities or initiate meaningful projects that would help the Army’s work with the needy and underprivileged.
