Dear Colleague,

We are delighted to announce the articles published in Volume 5 of the Journal of Alzheimer's Disease Reports during the first quarter of this year (Q1, Jan–Mar 2021). Below we include links to the content, along with one recent article from Q1 that made it into the news.

This is our online-only, fully open access journal dedicated to providing an open forum for original research that will expedite our fundamental understanding of Alzheimer's disease (AD) and is a sister publication of the Journal of Alzheimer's Disease. As a member of our research community, we would like to invite you to contribute your own research articles to the journal:

Research Study:

A pioneering multimodal neuroimaging study revealed obesity may contribute toward neural tissue vulnerability, and it also highlighted that maintaining a healthy weight in mild AD dementia could help to preserve brain structure. Researchers from the University of Sheffield and the University of Eastern Finland examined MRI brain scans from clinically diagnosed with mild AD dementia, those with mild cognitive impairment, and cognitively healthy individuals, and used three complementary, computational techniques to look at brain anatomy, blood flow, and the fibres of the brain.
