Not what the source says, and while I don't doubt UV can do some damage, beer's highest absorption of light peaks at 475 nm in the blue, while UV absorption is rather nil by comparison. so it's highly likely that blue light is more damaging to the organic molecules than UV. Both brown and green bottles do an excellent job of blocking both.
