There is no justification provided why these are supposed to be "hidden" changes and the explanation provided is wrong. House prices are not included in the CPI because a house is a capital asset, the CPI counts consumption goods and services, not capital assets. The BLS does not track the price of houses, it tracks the price of the service they provide, shelter. Tag: section blanking
