- 20:2220:22, 12 April 2024 diff hist +62 California housing shortage There was an egregious misquote of the CEA report. The report was talking about reduction in HOMELESSNESS rates, not in RENTS. The exact quote that the percentages seem to be referring to is " If housing were deregulated, homelessness would fall by 54 percent in San Francisco, by 50 percent in Honolulu, by 40 percent in Oxnard and Los Angeles, by 38 percent in San Diego, ..." on page 14 of the report.
