I also reapplied the church figure, with an added citation. Full disclosure: I am a member of a church that is in the SBC. undo Tags: Visual edit Mobile edit Mobile web edit

The middle section was fact-based and its citation is acceptable. It also happens to contradict the later citations. The section could be salvaged if the rest was rewritten, except it has no relevance at the top of the article. Disclosure: I am a member of a church affiliated with the SBC. undo Tags: Visual edit Mobile edit Mobile web edit
  • curprev 05:1805:18, 18 April 2024TanRabbitry talk contribs 139,239 bytes +121 For disclosure, I am a member of a church that is in the SBC. The SBC is not a denomination. It does not own affiliated churches, appoint their leaders or have authority over them. It is a cooperation of autonomous churches with the same central beliefs who pool some of their resources together for missions. It is an association, not a denomination. The SBC defines itself as a "cooperation" among other terms and explains that "each Southern Baptist church is autonomous and unique." Tags: Visual edit Mobile edit Mobile web edit
