As a local from Shiloh, this source should be questioned and possibly removed. It is common knowledge in Shiloh that its name was established in the 1700s; I have never heard that Shiloh was named for the Civil War battle, which is also impossible since that battle took place over 90 years after the date of 1771 given in source 29. undo
