He had a Swedish grandmother so could possibly be considered Swedish, but he was most likely unaware of his Jewish heritage, which came from his maternal grandfather, who converted to Christianity long before he was born. Why mention his maternal non-Russian heritage and not his paternal? Its far simpler and less controversial to just simply say he was Russian. Tags: Mobile edit Mobile web edit
