Roosevelt to initiate the Manhattan Project to develop atomic bombs." To state that the letter prompted FDR to initiate the Manhattan project is misleading to the point of being factually inaccurate. The Wikipedia entry on the "Einstein–Szilard letter" is a good summary of events.
