  • curprev 11:0411:04, 16 April 2024DeeBee39 talk contribsm 49,884 bytes +145 The opening sentence of the 3rd paragraph stated, "Wigner participated in a meeting with Leo Szilard and Albert Einstein that resulted in the Einstein–Szilard letter, which prompted President Franklin D. Roosevelt to initiate the Manhattan Project to develop atomic bombs." To state that the letter prompted FDR to initiate the Manhattan project is misleading to the point of being factually inaccurate. The Wikipedia entry on the "Einstein–Szilard letter" is a good summary of events.
