2014-08: Cycling in Iceland

After the experience of the last year, I wanted to merge two thing: Travelling and "real" mountain biking. Therefore, I chose my destination a bit differently: to the north, to the beauty of Iceland.

2013:
The idea to continue the journey to Germany grow already last year: why stop home? And the flood that affected thousands of people were a small reason enough to continue to spent some cents to the Red Cross. We'll see if we can beat the 1500CHF of last year....

Cheers Georges

2013-06 Crossing Germany

As I cycled last year more or less from Palermo to Berne for the Red Cross, I decided to continue for 2013 the journey to the north: crossing Germany and back. As last year, decided to spent saved or spent money to the Red Cross, doing some sports and testing a new idea for travelling by bike.

You can follow me here:

Cheers, Georges

PS: of course, you can motivate me for the extra mile with spending http://one-cent-per-kilometer.blogspot.con

2012-06: Crossing Italy by mountain bike...

The easiest way would to do it from west to east or so...
... My choice is from south to north.
The idea: taking the ferry in Genova to Palermo and then cycling home... Possible? No idea... Let's try it!

And as for Australia, I will spend money for every kilometre done for charity.. That time the red cross as they helped people from Italy in the last years after the earthquakes.
Are you on it, too?
cheers

Some tips & tricks about voyaging (not only by bike)

Hi all,
after my experience in the Andes, I decided to create a blog to share some more or less important or relevant stuff. Of course, those are personal ideas and experience, which may not 100% reflect reality or feasibility or even your taste. Will they fit in your way of traveling? Just take the part you can use... throw away the rest! ;-)
What is it about? Food, water, stoves.... and of course bike(s) ;-)
Cheers, Georges
