Why we started The Venture Folks?

We started TVF as a playground for the junior VCs to have same lightning speed access to network and information that make them better at their jobs. The major value prop we like to distinguish ourselves is all ammunition a junior VC needs to accelerate their career. Over the last one year, more than 15 members have found new jobs that they get access through the community. Want to get connected to a specific VC or a portfolio founder or a vendor. We make it happen before you get your Quick Commerce grocery delivery.

Highlights of the year that went by

We finished two years. While we started as four people chitchatting on a WA group, we are very proud of the 700+ Monthly Active Members that we have across WA and Slack. The core team is now seven people strong (with 2 churns) spread across NCR, Bombay and Hyderabad. Fun fact, all the core team members have never actually met in-person in the same room yet. We have been running this fully remote for the last 2 years.

While we have little analytics on WA. However over Slack, we maintain an over 40% Weekly active users and more than 200 messages are exchanged every day over slack in public and private channels. Our conservative estimates believe we believe we have tapped almost 30% of all venture capital investment professionals who are currently looking at India. These folks are spread across 12 time zones with some 50 late stage Investment Professionals.
