Senator Shannon Grove has introduced SB 14 to strengthen public safety by including sex trafficking of a minor in the lists of crimes that are defined as serious under California law, making the crime a strike under the Three Strikes law.
A 2021 Federal Human Trafficking Report shows that 66% of sex trafficking cases in the U.S. were minors. We must fight to protect our most vulnerable Californians, especially our children and strengthen protections for all victims by increasing the penalties for those who buy and sell human beings.
