DR. REBECCA WINGO, DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC HISTORY (UNIVERSITY OF CINCINNATI)

This workshop extends Dr. Wingo’s Feb 13 10am talk on “A Tale of Two Projects” and explores the different communities these projects form: classroom, campus, and community. All of these were necessary for a successful project. We’ll use an upcoming community engagement project in Southern Indiana as a foundation to consider some of the ethical considerations for digital community engagement. We’ll also workshop a list of best practices for community engagement as we consider what "digital" changes about that type of engagement.
