1 John 3:19-22 Updated American Standard Version (UASV)

19 By this we know that we are of the truth and will persuade our heart before him, 20 in whatever our heart condemns us; for God is greater than our heart and knows all things. 21 Beloved, if our heart does not condemn us, we have confidence toward God; 22 and whatever we ask we receive from him, because we keep his commandments and do the things that are pleasing in his sight.

A clean conscience brings us inner peace, calmness, and a profound joy that is seldom found in this world under the imperfection of fallen flesh that is catered to by Satan, the god of the world. Many who were formerly living in sin and have now turned their life over to God, they now know this amazing relief and are able today to hold a good and clean conscience as they carry out the will of the Father. (Matt. 7:21-23; 1 Cor. 6:11) This book, WALK HUMBLY WITH YOUR GOD , has been written to help its readers to find that same joy, to have and maintain a good, clean conscience in their lives. Of course, it is incapable of covering every detail that one would need to consider and apply in their lives.

In addition, do not expect every Bible rule and principle to be black and white. As we refine our Christian conscience, it will be able to handle those gray areas better as well. The purpose of this book and others by Edward D. Andrews is to help its readers grow in knowledge of God’s Word, so as to sensitize the conscience but not to over sensitize it, by studying how to apply it in our daily lives.  WALK HUMBLY WITH YOUR GOD  serves as a guide to those who are interested in walking with God, living a good and productive Christian life, and maintaining rightly in his love.  It is the author's genuine expectation that this publication will help you to more fully show the love of God in your life and thus can fulfill the wishes of the Creator himself, "Be wise, my son, and make my heart glad, that I may answer him who reproaches me."―Proverbs 27:11.
