Read the readme.
Skim each section of this guide before playing that part of the game
Save early and often. You have 99 save slots, and if you need more you can just stash the save files in a subfolder or something.
That's also a good way to reduce load time on the save screen, which some players report issues with.
Dead and inactive party members get experience, so don't stress about it. However, enemies do not respawn, so exp is finite. You should generally fight all available enemies unless there's something to gain by not. If you find this tedious, there is a "story mode" mod linked on the wiki.
Talk to people often and until they start repeating themselves, especially when in a "base camp" area.
Don't be too aggressive about selling off old equipment. Sometimes you'll need to keep more than 4 characters equipped, especially from chapter 3 on.
Don't sell Simon's Old Ribbon.
Generally poke at the environment. Many objects yield flavor text, and some yield loot. Especially check out human remains, crates, books, and anything mounted on a wall.
Use your special attacks! Many enemies have a particular elemental or status weakness that is key to beating them efficiently. If not, buffs and debuffs are still terribly effective (25% AFTER equipment bonuses, stackable twice). Some enemies later in the game will resist debuffing, but not prevent you from buffing your own party.
Most demons use magical attacks exclusively, so you should focus on MDF but ignore DEF when gearing to fight them. A few, starting in Chapter 4, break this rule with "corporeal energy" attacks.
If a party member has more than 4 status effects / buffs, not all icons will show on the avatar. Workaround for this is to target the party member with a single-target skill, which will let you see all statuses.
Various support skills have weak healing effects. Don't underestimate these; in particular Qum's Arousing Kiss is a good way to top off HP while also conferring a buff, and she can use it on herself indefinitely for healing and magic boosts while her SP remains constant. Arousing Aura is a fine weak group heal.
Yarra's Shared Fantasy has SP-restoring properties, and when used on herself is a net SP gain.
Nalili's Sexual Aegis protects not only against lust status but also Sexbind, and gives 10% boost to ATK, DEF, AGI, and makes attacks sex-elemental.
You can't convert Sx to ProN, except via one investment that takes Sx (which you should take). ProN -> Sx is possible in limited amounts, but I don't recommend it. The game is designed this way so you can spend Sx on equipment without worry.
Getting caught in stealth sections usually carries a minor penalty, despite appearances. Just reload.
The Amulet of Alchemy works out of battle, as long as anyone has it equipped.
I wrote an affection guide if you want in-depth analysis on that. It's p gud. https://tiny.cc/TLS_guide
== Withered Mountain ==
Unequip Kai and Altina before fighting Riala.
== Delgar Forest ==
Another set of 3 mushrooms pops up after the nighttime bit, for a total of 6 obtainable. Not all you can see are accessible.
== Stineford ==
Try entering the Academy from the regional map before meeting Robin. It doesn't help anything, but the dialogue is funny.
Recruit Hilstara then Robin before fighting anything, so they can get EXP.
Near the back of the library, one shelf yields a lewd book, which can be traded to a lecture hall student for a Shimmering Bracelet.
Dominate the orcs at the farm once Simon is level 14. Don't try before then or you'll have to kill them.
Tunnel entrance is in the southeast slums, but you must talk to Yarra after investigating it to unlock.
Down there, there's an easy-to-miss Shining Sword as a sparkle in a dead end.
The Stineford prostitution industry offers mostly affection tradeoffs that are overall a bad deal unless you just hate Aka and your cash. However, there is an optimal path. First, before Robin joins, pay to enter the brothel, but leave without choosing a girl (they'll remember that you paid). This avoids Robin's penalty, which only triggers the first time, and only if she's joined. Later, when you've found the succubus tower, talk to the free succubi's leader (not the one Yarra has a long conversation with, though you should talk to her too). Return to the brothel and rent the bunny-ears prostitute, then talk to the brothel mistress and turn down the deal with Qum. You'll get +1 Yarra and +5 Qum for 100 Sx, while avoiding affection penalties from Aka or Robin.
Alternately, this lets you whore out Qum without penalties from anyone but Qum.
Whoring out Qum has the obvious advantage of more funds to invest, but there are ongoing penalties, not just the immediate -10 and lost opportunity for +5.
The high-class prostitute costs 500 Sx, but you do get more affection from Yarra than you lose from Aka (+5/-2). Yarra starts higher anyway, though, and is easier to raise.
Talk to Aka in inn with 35k ProN to get sidequest to make her knife. It is worth it. Cheapest way to make it is via armor shop, smith, magic shop.
SP preservation gear is awesome. You're probably gonna want at least two buttplugs, or a buttplug and dildo. Some players like to give Qum handcuffs, which is situationally useful.
Do the rat cellar quest; it's free gear.
Let the warehouse guy live, then ask him for the key to the locked cell.
Do the spider house last. Silence the fat breath spiders, debuff/stun/confuse the spindly multiple-attack spiders. You don't really need Thief Pins from the slum bar, but they help.
One of the bank guards is more talkative than the others.
Max ProN in Stineford is 60k, or 65k if you whored Qum.
They affect nothing, but there are 7 short textual scenes and 3 sprite animations to see on the Blue Rose inn bed. Textual scenes play only once. If you've gotten the dream textual scene and sprite sex with all 3 harem girls, you've seen them all.
== Devil's Pass ==
Don't forget to get all the items in the cache, and absorb the magic circle.
In the Deep Tunnels camp sequence to convince Hilstara, talk to everyone but Robin multiple times before talking to Robin.
You really don't want to exit without conquering the optional dungeon, if you can help it. Guide: http://vignette3.wikia.nocookie.net/thelastsovereign/images/d/da/Devil%27s_Pass_optional_dungeon_guide.PNG
If you finish the optional dungeon with 100,000 Sx or level 40+ Simon (by cheating), or do it on the second pass, you won't get the Incubus King Armor key item. Of course, if you're cheating you could just give yourself the item.
== Yhilin ==
Thorough investigation nets a Janine affection bonus. Do these steps, not necessarily in this order:
In outskirts, talk to green-haired man wandering near Reval's compound or the sleeping camp.
In outskirts, talk to Iron Cudgel leader.
In Merchant Quarter, talk to smuggler.
In Miners' Junction, talk to Reval's former guard.
In Outskirts, talk to Hank, the drunk lying near the western merchant stalls.
In Yhilin Cathedral, talk to Sarai.
In the guard bar in the Court, observe a mage copying the guards.
Confront that mage on the south side of the Outskirts.
After accumulating some points, Megail will make a comment about Reval, if you speak to her. It's not immediately relevant.
Wait to negotiate any investment until you have Megail. You even need her for Premium Steel. Also, it's unwise to take extra cash from her. That said, don't hoard all your ProN; you want it to be working for you.
Tactical Eye, Shieldwall, and Arousing Kiss are useful when fighting as Hilstara and Qum, while Powerful Blow may be a poor use of MP.
Don't get caught by sentries on the way to Megail. It may seem consequence-free, but you lose out on Sx because you'll get fewer than 3 Noble Figurines. Not to mention that doing well on that sidequest gets you a little intangible bonus...
Also be sure you get the two Shining Swords (one is on the south wall of the bunk room, between beds, along with another piece of gear, the other behind the northwest Unperson after talking to Megail) and Dwarven Armor (to the northeast before talking to Megail).
Check with the bank for profits before leaving in chapter 2, if you invested.
== Wanderer ==
You can make two important choices about how to treat people in this section. Waiting to fuck is a softer touch than immediately fucking, and reshaping is much softer than dominating.
Things that add to daycount:
+5 traversing Merchant's Pass
+5 retrieving lost goods from Rebel's Pass
+5 visiting Devil's Pass cache
+10 visiting Devil's Pass deep cache
+2 searching Devil's Pass for new tunnels
+5 moving between Stineford and Feroholm regions (first time)
+1 moving between Stineford and Feroholm regions or vice versa (repeat trip)
+10 visiting merchant camp
+2 visiting shrine
+5 visiting Withered Mountain
+5 visiting Delgar Forest
Daycount thresholds: 16, 25, 30, 50, 70, 100. Section ends automatically when you've taken care of both Varia and the Impaler, which you can do in either order.
One efficient path (24 days): Merchant's Pass (5), visit Orcent, visit Carina in Stineford, invest in magic shop in Stineford if desired, recruit tower succubi, goto Feroholm region (5), recruit Altina and Withered Mountain (5), recruit Varia (5), visit shrine and get Stark's head (2), return to Stineford region (1), visit camp and fuck the newcomer if you haven't, fight plants in pond glade, return to Feroholm region (1), visit Feroholm and take care of the Impaler (ending the section).
Alternately (and still 24 days) before leaving Stineford region, you could savescum searching Devil's Pass for new tunnels (2) until you encounter monsters, fight plants in pond glade, then never return to Stineford region.
There's a Shining Sword in the rat cellar in Stineford.
You can invest in the Stineford magic shop for 10k if you like, which can synergize with a later investment.
In Delgar Forest, visit the old areas for a few easy fights.
I don't recommend killing the Impaler or avoiding Withered Mountain (in the Feroholm region).
== Dark Ruin ==
There's a book in one of the piles on 2F.
Don't miss the hole you can drop down, but maybe wait for Carina to assist before you enter it, for maximal exp.
If you haven't fucked Altina yet, keep reentering the ground floor and talking to her until it happens. Unless you've decided you want to lose her, but I don't recommend this from any angle.
Consider savescumming the first group of 3 orc fights if you don't get any steel gear.
== Split the Party ==
The inventory for these are shared, so go ahead and unequip everybody.
Recommended order is Yarra, Aka, Megail. Among other reasons, Aka's route tends to raise a hidden variable that determines how much the bank gives Megail, and there's a point in Megail's route at which you'll probably want to have 20,000 Sx saved, though you can get a little over 13k of that in-route.
== Yarra's route ==
You get enough free time slots to do everything.
If Qum does not have 100 affection, fuck her early on. The best use for the morale boost from fucking her is to help "negotiate" with Fheliel by getting the Yarra + Qum x Ogre sex scene. Otherwise, save sex with Qum for last.
After the Succubus Hunt, talk to the orc and succubus councils as soon as you have the opportunity, if you haven't already.
You want to be nice to the staff and gain tunnel access, and return to the succubus village during daytime for an optional boss.
Orcent's Piercing Attack doesn't miss, which is particularly useful for the Orgasmic Rogue.
For the Succubus Hunt, consider disabling attack animations and enabling instant text, for speed.
The Ghenalese succubi can drop one collar each, and the succubi who'll only fight you with 10 butterflies drop a chain bikini. Consider savescumming for these drops if you don't get them.
At the end, you can access the blue chest for a ballgag.
Endgames in the ice caves should net you a Worn Whip from the Empress. If it didn't, try again and do better.
Don't unequip Orcent at the end of the route.
== Aka's route ==
Before they leave, talk to Yarra about tentacles, and to Megail in the outskirts about Jade sabotage.
After an an initial conversation, Trin in the throne room will remind you how many persons she can copy. Max based on Trin affection: 6 base, 7 at 30, 8 at 50.
Potential Trin targets, with effects of copying:
Hurts Jade Helps poor Notes
politician . . Janine's uncle. She asks you to zap him. In the throne room after a certain amount of progress.
Big Man . 3 Free Iron Robes from Queensman if you had saner-Altina. Or just 1 "helps poor" and no Iron Robes if you just kill him.
Aramite 1 . +1 to Aram influence. In tent compound in Outskirts, after talking to southeast man in Clearinghouse.
scribe 2 . Near Bank front desk, after talking to Megail then him.
halfling 1 -1 Talk to her instead for +1 poor help. In northeast of House Rose.
Kingsman 2 2 +1 to Yhilin influence. Only vulnerable once, in encounter triggered by checking King painting in Rose District shop.
loan shark 2 2 +1 to Yhilin influence. Talk to Kia 2x in Palace kitchen, eavesdrop in Jade Clearinghouse, then go to the Lower City alley for an easy fight.
poor 1 -1 In northeast Lower City.
3 young 3 . Uses up 3 copies.
bank clerk . . Not an option now, but listed here because you may have copied him before and thus be down a slot.
In descending order, I recommend zapping loan shark, Kingsman, Aramite, Big Man, politician, and scribe, plus I recommend having zapped the bank clerk from Chapter 1. Talk to the halfling instead of copying.
Try and save difficult combat for after you tentacle and cure Aka. You want her down to the two-black-swirl deprivation status, which takes only 5% HP per turn. At that point, hit the fighting ring first since she solos that. After winning the Duelist Pin, if you dealt with the Kingsmen bar, go talk to the red-haired man in it for free Rune Armor.
If you dealt with the Queensmen bar and copied Big Man, talk to a bar patron for free Iron Robes.
Don't miss the cult quest - started by checking an outskirts notice board.
Also don't miss the small quest to stop the Inquisition harassing poor slum mages - started by talking to an old woman at the Cathedral.
Robin is generally best test-taker, and passing all tests with great marks will yield a hat with "So stylish!" in its description.
There's a difficult optional boss in the 3rd trial area after you pass.
There's eventually a third option for the mine if you talk to an elf in the Lower City. Whether it's a good idea is a matter of opinion.
Be sure to give all 6 mine papers to the guy in the House of Petitions.
Don't forget to check in with the ambassador in the royal chambers to tell him about all you've done for the poor.
== Megail's route ==
If invested, check with the mine and bank for profits, before leaving the city.
Don't miss the Yhilini supplier and magic trade investment opportunities before leaving Yhilin; they're worth considering. Magic trade synergizes with Stineford magic shop if you got that.
Don't use Varia's bomb in the Yhilin-Aram pass.
Be sure to do the bounties marked in your quest log - this opens a 20k Sx investment you'll probably want, and gives you a cheaper legal way to access Eustrin. The last one can't be completed until you are in Eustrin, however - don't forget to turn it in.
Purple Magekiller can be stunned. Blue Magekiller can be confused.
== Simon's route ==
This part gives optimizers headaches; there's no one true way to do it. In general, though, you want to do unique events, not generic repeatable ones. Also note that sex heals Simon, so you only need to sleep once when the Empress encourages it, and then only if you want to see the dream cutscene. The affection guide has much to say about this route. Specific tips: exercise the first 3 days, ask Chaya for books, get trained by the Philon ambassador ASAP, get Cleavage with Nalili before using her in combat.
Some conversations with Esthera or Nalili are subject to a 1-day cooldown. You may have to pass time before the next becomes available.
Be sure to investigate the southwest stairs on 2F (but only once) before meeting Nalili.
You need five "succubus lore" to pass one of the appeals office tasks. If you don't want to read them all, the best books are:
Orc Breeding I and II, each granting Balia affection.
Religion, granting Sarai affection.
Succubi III and History, together granting Yarra affection.
Succubi I and II, which only take a day each if you requested books from Chaya.
If Simon's comment on the Ethnic Complaints task is "I'm not sure this solution is adequate", load a recent save (such as your autosave) and do the ambassador's lesson first. If Simon's comment is the same, reload and first read all 9 library books including the one about combat which requires Nalili.
Nalili has five events that raise a hidden "maturity" variable. These are:
Defending her personal guard when she tells her not to ruin the fun and then letting her train,
conversation about her failure to hide her identity and the fakeness of her city relationships,
participating in the 2nd floor succubus meeting while Esthera's gone,
moving boxes for pay in the city,
getting the Office Orgy scene.
The conversation after beating the smuggler succubus doesn't grant a maturity point, despite appearances.
You need 3 maturity points to unlock the event teaching Nalili Cleavage.
It's OK to go ahead and fuck Nalili.
Don't fight the Elite Succubus without Dominate, even if you think you'll win.
You can beat Esthera in her purple outfit, but you'll want the massage buff and high DEF (not MDF). You can't beat her in her black outfit.
After day 90 there is a new conversation with Nalili in her room, and with Esthera by the vault.
It's efficient to save the mage room event for the last playable day, though that won't leave you time to see flavor text inside the room.
== reunion ==
First girl you talk to gets +5 affection. Good candidates for this are Carina (because of a check in the Yhilin invasion aftermath, thresholds at 50 and 75), Megail (similar to Carina but 100), and saner-Altina (for a more optimized game, because of an eventual Chapter 4 headcount of affection-locked girls).
There are some investments you can get a second shot at, for either higher prices or lower rewards. Just maybe don't invest in the bank, because as Megail implies, you want in excess of 1 million ProN for Ardford.
After visiting the city, come back and see the girls again for possible lewds.
Don't forget to give Robin a research project, if given the option. I personally would rank the options Essence Shielding > Orc Development >> Yhilini Magic.
== Ardford ==
Invest in the Merchant's Guild before others if you plan to, since they require 1M liquid ProN even tho they only take 100k.
The bank's price depends partly on how invested you are in Ardford - literally.
Vhala joins you on summit day 2, so you may want to wait for combat til then.
This wiki article is pretty trustworthy for the politics. https://thelastsovereign.miraheze.org/wiki/Ardford_summit
Talk to the Ardoheim ambassador each day, and after the summit, but never tell him how you'll vote.
If you didn't fund the dwarf embassy, you'll have to choose between blocking the Unperson vote and opening the War Vaults. Former is cheaper. You can block both Unperson mobilization and orc extermination, but it's expensive.
6 missable Dari investigation clues: Examine the deteriorated Unperson in The Hole before Unperson vote, Hester before Unperson vote, Tyna with Vhala, Inquisitor in the Cathedral with Vhala, Inquisitor in the Holy Knights of Ardoheim building (requires Essence Shielding research), Merchant Guild member services (requires 100k membership).
When the spider appears, you can and should run. Your reward is more spiders! Yay!
Persuade the rich Givini to help to get a Givini pin and properly complete that quest. You can do this anytime after clearing the house, even if the quest shows as "complete". Might need the mirror from the basement.
There are 9 disturbances. You will want to max MDF and have Robin and Yarra active to beat demons. Don't forget to report back to the nun.
You must invest at least 10k into the Order of Silence to access one combat area. Sir Bartholomew moves to the bar after investing.
Here's how to get the best possible deal for Vinario. First, take note of Yarra's and Megail's affections before leaving Yhilin, since you cannot see them in Ardford. You want above 90 at some point for Yarra to do her illusion thing, and above 50 when Megail helps negotiate. Both women's affections will fluctuate during the Ardford summit, so make sure to go negotiate when they'll be above the threshold.
"Not a chance in hell"
"Megail?" (ideally when her affection > 50)
"War Vote" (only available after the war vote)
meet him at the Silver Stump, "Then you never expected to get your kingdom back?"
back at the embassy, "Leave"
on the way out the door he should accost you; if not, repeat previous step
if you have been able to reduce the price to 200k, refuse and come back with at least 100k but less than 200k in hand
purchase Vinario for 100k.
Failsafe Ward is least resistant to fire, despite its looks. It cannot be debuffed, poisoned, or delayed in exploding. Just do as much damage as possible, and perhaps keep a save before leaving Ardford for the Hole.
4 sex scenes: 200 Sx meal at the Silver Stump, 500 Sx reserved bath at the Gardens of Steam, bed in Givini poorhouse basement after clearing, tent in empty lot (requires Order of Silence investment, any amount)
== Conqueror ==
Dari is behind a potted plant on Retreat 1F.
It's hard to give a guide for the battle without really spoiling the underlying mechanics. Everyone's situation is different. But:
You're managing three separate measures of success, which will be reviewed when it's over: Domination, chaos, collateral damage. You needn't minmax these at all costs, because you'll get chances to patch things up after the takeover. Also indirectly affecting those measures are the amount of enemy forces killed, and your army quality and quantity.
Aka can't take down the airship with less than 80 affection - ideally 100.
Fight the group of mages.
If your opponents are clustered, hold the healers' clearing. If spread out, just rescue party members.
Don't send orcs into Ari-Yhilina unless your Army Quality is 9+
In the Hidden Stronghold, you can turn off attack animations for speed, plus turning on instant text makes text skip really fly.
You can access the guarded chest in the storeroom for a Shining Sword once the timer starts, and Yarra's Incubus King's Emissary is good for taking out the guardians in a hurry.
There's no penalty for fighting the wandering guards, so do it, if you can do it and still reach the goal in time.
Send Carina to heal Lord Thelon, unless Qum is at 100 affection and was never whored out in Stineford, in which case send Qum.
== New Yhilin ==
Best to collect all quests from the palace, tunnels, and cathedral before doing anything else.
The sooner you research Dari, the more affection you get from her.
If you intend to fund the nobility liaison, for best results do so before talking to the ambassador a second time.
In the optional demon group the cult can summon, the Thauma-demons are most vulnerable to fire and the Soma-demons to physical. Both can be blinded and their attacks can be evaded.
No point to finding Rick's uncle if you've found a parent, but it's best to find both parents. If your Yhilin is too damaged or chaotic, some or all of Rick's relatives may not be findable.
The only Dari investigation leads are the Rose District fancy shop, and the Unman in the Outskirts if the Unpeople motion passed.
At this point there are 6 seed orcs and 6 candidates for Yarra's matchmaking quest. Current totals can be tracked in your Quest Journal. Best to get them all eventually.
There are 3 conversations you can have with Janine around Yhilin Palace after progressing on certain objectives. They raise affection, so it's better to do them before triggering the Janine-prisoner conversation.
There are a total of 5 prisoner conversations; if you want to see them all in one go, do it just before ending the section.
Before ending the section, check the slum house formerly owned by Big Man in case you've met the acceptance threshold for entry. Also check the House of Petitions for new petitions, such as the petition to build a second one.
== elven forests ==
Don't kill wolves in this part. You can run from battles with them.
Talk to everyone while undercover prior to meeting the queens, even though it may seem to do nothing.
Also, talk to the priestess on the east side of Denmiel early on.
8 Kingsfail:
* Northeast corner of Twisted Glen, before saving queens.
* Southeast side of Twisted Glen, in water, before saving queens.
* From elf in Theltiar for finding her a blue butterfly (southwest corner of Twisted Glen, before saving queens).
* Southeast side of Twisted Glen, after saving queens. From Mother's Guard encounter, with sufficient language skill and Altina. Best done before First Root.
* From elf in northeastern Denmiel, after returning from First Root without having killed any wolves there.
* Chest in Dead House B1.
* Ivala's Glade, hidden in treeline.
* Purchased in Denmiel for 1000 Sx.
You need at least 4 for the Amulet of Alchemy, at least 7 for the Gray Lotus (purpose unknown), and all 8 for a third Sylvan Draught.
You only need one of Crystal Petals or Emerald Leaves, if requested.
After saving the queens, hear Lynine's offer and press Orilise for more info if you wish to side with Orilise, but don't even talk to Orilise if you wish to side with Lynine.
If you have Altina, do the Mother's Guard Ruse quest that requires language skill before doing all the focal points. The best result will net +4 affection for the elf you sided with, and +2 for Lynine if you sided with Orilise (though you have no way to check til you return to Yhilin).
Storgan language learning opportunities for Aka (ordered roughly by prerequisite, if any):
+1 Eavesdrop on elves near well in Denmiel.
+1 Elf child in northeast Denmiel.
+2 Entering Theltiar with saner-Altina, OR +1 with cockwhore-Altina.
+1 Elf in middle of Theltiar, after giving blue butterfly.
+1 Elf near Theltiar entrance. (Must have picked Lynine or Orilise.)
+1 Automatically in Lynine HQ. (Must pick Lynine.)
+1 Automatically in Orilise HQ. (Must pick Orilise.)
+1 Children's books in Denmiel archives. (Must pick Orilise.)
+1 Purple-haired elf in Denmiel archives. (Must pick Orilise.)
+1 Finishing murder investigation by talking to elf child near Guard.
If doing the Denmiel focal point with Orilise, don't get forced outside more than once.
It's okay to kill the bears in First Root; they're corrupted. You still shouldn't kill wolves.
After 3 failed recruitments by Yarra, an elf recruit will appear near the HQ of the elf you sided with.
There's an event in the northeast of the regional map; visiting it with sufficient language skill opens the way to a collectible.
Have Simon make note of investments for the future.
Visit Bertricia after First Root.
Let Megail investigate the slimes and slime merchant.
== New Yhilin 2 ==
You may have more petitions to choose from by the end of these sections, so do them then.
If you have the brothel petitioner in the House of Petitions, speak to her even if you don't intend to actually fund.
Orc "fancy walk" gets cheaper with higher orc discipline, down to 10% at 10 discipline.
6 theology conversations to be had, counting Bertricia from before and Sarai, but not counting Ginasta's after the section ends. Robin has one in the library after speaking to her about research.
The best response to Eustrin is more letters.
This may be a good time to have Robin research orc development or essence shielding, if you haven't already.
Hilstara has a conversation with Ginasta after the Lynine scene.
== Zirantia ==
In the Royal Palace of Zirantia, talk to the guard on the west side of the door with Simon in party.
As with the elven forest, you must talk to many people and examine things to investigate the true state of things in Zirantia. Most people and events that don't have just one line are worth talking to:
+1 chat with Fuani before feast.
+1 ambassador Uolian before feast.
+1 having Fuani explain the statue of Antiala.
+1 feast servant who says "We haven't had this many people before"
Unmissable +1 talking to Uolian after Simon leaves.
Unmissable +1 investigating the spare room in the palace.
Unmissable +1 attempting to leave Zirantia Plaza and being told to use a wagon.
+3 Antiala statue in Incubus Ruins B1.
+2 wall carving in pillar room of Incubus Ruins B2.
+3 Uolian after reuniting the party if you impressed him with your honesty at the Ardford summit, OR +2 if you didn't make (and break) a deal with him, OR nothing.
+1 visiting unnamed Zirantia slum bar, with Simon and Uyae.
+5 finding 24 Zirantian artifacts, OR +4 for 20, OR +3 for 15, OR +2 for 10, OR +1 for 5.
max legit value 21 (benefit caps at 20)
Check Wynn's bed.
After Simon meets Wynn, it is safe to remove equipment from Simon's group for use by Yarra's group. After Yarra's group clears the Zirantian Ruins, it is safe to remove equipment for use by Simon's group.
13 artifacts in the Zirantian Ruins explored by Yarra's group, including one in an alcove outside; 11 in the Incubus Ruins explored by Simon's group.
Exit the Incubus Ruins at any time to sleep and heal in camp.
In addition to the visible treasures, there are three separate hidden treasures in the Incubus Ruins, which spirits will give you clues to:
"Statues of gold... the back of the second right..."
"First row, fourth... then... third row... second..."
"It's locked deeper... inside the statue..."
== New Yhilin 3 ==
Qum's "research" is a one-time opportunity and does take up a research iteration (the next iteration, not the current one). Decide before speaking to her. If you got Aka's cure in the Empire there's probably no reason not to.
Have Dari investigate either Unpeople or slave collars.
Check the orc chamber before talking to Balia, as there may be a new orc there.
If you have not yet told Balia to evolve the orcs, this is a good time.
If you are planning to invest in Aram border defense, infrastructure, or national succubus trade, but have not done so, this may be a good time.
There is no clearly superior site for the airship dock. Southern will slightly decrease acceptance of your rule; Western disadvantages your allies in House Rose; Southern and Western will improve Yhilin's economy slightly; Eastern gives the easiest negotiations; Northern slightly increases your power over the nobility if you've yet to solidify that (check with palace liaison).
In any case, you should copy the Jade representative if he's present, but try not to copy the old guy. You should also talk to the ambassador, and warn the leader of House Rose after talking to their representative (exception: there's no point if you end up seizing their site). Try not to use all Trin's slots.
With the best negotiation result, at the end Janine will say "everyone was quite impressed."
Don't miss the Unman-Dari conversation and the disguised succubus among the bookshelves in the Cathedral library. The Unman will only appear after talking to Dari.
Also be sure to visit Wynn in the Archon Inn.
While only four can participate in the final Order trial, everyone still gets EXP, and other party members can still heal out of combat.
Before leaving for Aram, check the Training Ground for new combat abilities.
== Eustrin and Aram ==
An efficient thing to do early is pick up Galvia. Visit the smoke mage on western B4, then the B5 market square, then the booze import shop on eastern B4.
Return to the royal chambers after accomplishing things, for conversations with Neranda and Robin. Also check the mausoleum on B6 for Neranda after clearing Southern Tunnels.
Mestan's AGI is 200, and he inflicts no status effects.
Foolish though it may seem, it's better to try to fight Mestan alone.
Use Simon's power to remove at least 4 rocks in the Southern Tunnels, even if you don't see a need to. It sets up a conversation on completing the quest. Simon needs mana to do this, by the way.
Check the southern tunnels in, er, Southern Tunnels, for a conversation with Lynine.
Don't worry about the "deep mines" the entrance dwarf mentions.
The Aramite Fort has three new soldiers to talk to, after talking to Palina in the courtyard.
Before you leave, consider buying a suit of Shining Armor if you have spare Sx. It sets up a minor bonus later, and flavor text.
== New Yhilin 4 ==
You are able to immediately see the results of the petitions and research you choose at the beginning of this section.
Since some petitions become available or have price drops with higher acceptance, and this is your last round of funding, it may be useful to pay for FANCY WALK's immediate acceptance boost, if you haven't already. It also may not be useful; save and check for yourself.
Good petitions to fund for the war may include border defense (including Ardoheim), mercenary regulation, anything that boosts acceptance or helps succubi, and infrastructure.
If you are in a good enough position to choose to "Assist Aram", you probably shouldn't. Its main effect is to reduce damage to Aram, and you don't really want Aram to come out of the war with the least damage.
Most war preparation involves talking to leaders and other people you'd expect, but don't miss: Stark, Yarra's throne room admirer, the palace's nobility liaison, the succubus outside the guard bar, the Lustlord priestess in the Cathedral library, the mage at the door to the Order building, and the dark elf mage in the slums (if you haven't already spoken to him before).
Talk to the man by Reval's former building for a future investment opportunity.
== Third Arclent War ==
A small hidden unstackable bonus is given for each Seed location you send a desirable party member to. Aram, Ardoheim, Stineford regions like Carina or Simon. Zirantia regions like Uyae or Simon. Yhilin II likes Yarra or Simon. You won't be able to get all these bonuses unless your fourth location is Yhilin II, but try to arrange your parties so you get bonuses.
Seeds resist lust, so Yarra is pretty useless unless she has the Forceful Kiss synergy skill. Thus a team that includes Yarra is better with Hilstara, especially if one adds Qum to raise the damage of both to be less mediocre, and to help Yarra raise SP.
Varia is a good damage-dealer, especially if she can use a Crusader Sword, but she needs a healer to back her up as her skills consume HP. Carina has the added bonus of being able to shield.
Seeds don't resist debuffing, and Aka's Disabling Assault makes a fight fairly easy.
Seeds are vulnerable to fire.
You will want silence and paralysis resistance on key party members.
After the Seed fights, Robin won't need gear again until she leaves Stineford, so hers can be used by other mages.
You can start the war with up to 6 "extensions" (reserve detachments) of the army, 5 based on Army Size plus 1 more with at least 20 Army Quality.
You will have 6-8 opportunities to use a reserve detachment, plus 1-5 in the aftermath for political gains or damage control. If a particular front is going very well you may wish to hold one in reserve, especially if you didn't side with Lynine.
Overextending your army to send a reserve detachment when you have 0 to spare has consequences, especially if you don't have a strong economic and social position.
Sending an extension to Aram at the first opportunity may well be the best use of one, followed by the option to deploy up to two to Ardoheim later.
Smart orcs are better at guerilla warfare. Strong orcs are better at battle royale. With smart strong orcs you still want guerilla warfare.
When talking to the commander in the Aramite Forest and learning about the big push, say "Yhilin and Aram are allies" if you chose to "Assist Aram" after a good border incident outcome. Otherwise pick the other option.
After this, talk to the Inquisition representative in the Holy Legion camp - unless the nearby priestess says the Church is skeptical of you, in which case maybe don't bother (not a hard rule if you have the dwarven Shining Armor).
Letting Mestan kill an Aramite commander is almost certainly the best choice.
At the Aram Battleground, whether it's better to "Attack much" or "Defend much" depends entirely on whether you sent an extension to this area. If yes, attack much.
If you have Altina for healing, try to save Grubbak's Orc Potions for later, just to save money.
During the coup attempt, if there is a scene where bystanders criticize soldiers for threatening a succubus in the Square, that's a likely indicator you won't need to declare martial law.
In Gasm Falls, aside from the usual talk-to-everyone procedure, be sure to check the bedroom in The Pink Sheets inn for an affection conversation.
Infiltrating the Tower of Mist, there's one fight and one alarm you can't avoid, so don't worry about them.
You can give Sho equipment, but don't give her anything you might really want available for boss fights later.
If the Feroholm region has been devastated, with many deaths, it's not safe to tell Kara to go immediately to Ardford.
It's now possible to change Vhala's equipment.
Dominating Riala once will debuff her stats a bit. Doing it again has no further effect.
Two succubi near the camp in Western Ardan Mountains can be left undefeated for a morale hit to their forces. One must be Dominated by Simon's skill, while the other you must escape from in battle.
Orc Charm, Orc Magic Charm, and Orc Gauntlet protect from poison. Orc Magic Charm also halves elemental damage.
You may also wish to have at least 3 potions on hand, and have better than basic orc gear all around.
If Hilstara is forced to make a "last stand" at the pass, her equipment will be lost. Don't put anything too valuable on her if you can't win.
Geoff cannot be saved. Neither can the treasury guard.
For the final assault on the Incubus Castle, put a good durable tank character into Robin's party. Hilstara and Carina are ideal; Robin herself might work if you can buff her with others so she has high DEF, MDF, and MAG.
After outlasting the Writhing Succubus you get a free party heal, so don't worry if only one character survives.
If you send Aka with Robin, she can use Flaming Stab to hit wraiths.
Riala's best moves use a fair amount of SP restoration. Her masturbation restores 15, but you may want to do more anyway. Do note that she has two skill menus, unlike other combat characters.
Vhala shouldn't be grouped with succubi. She can't benefit from sexual healing, and her aura skill inflicts Sexbind (at least for now).
All enemies and non-enemy succubi disappear when the central triple barrier falls, so talk to everyone and fight everything before then. You'll also want to ensure you loot the treasury before then.
Riala does not join you for the final fight in the Incubus Castle, nor for a while after that. You'll have another chance to strip her later if you forget to do it before entering the throne room.
The Incubus Emperor uses strong fire and physical attacks, has 99999 HP, has a 75% chance to resist debuffs, and is vulnerable to elements earth, ice, sex, anti-sex.
When reuniting after Incubus Castle, unequip all mages except Robin, in case you need their gear soon.
Use up all your military, economic, and political power at the Conference Chamber. There is no benefit to keeping any in reserve.
Except for the 3 expensive trade route investments, any investment you could see at the end of Chapter 3 will also be available in Chapter 4, though you'll miss a round's returns for an investment by waiting and most will increase in price.
== Arbiter ==
This chapter allows you to roam the continent. Unlike early Chapter 2, there is no penalty for wandering aimlessly, and the plot advances only when you cause it in fairly obvious ways.
Monsters have respawned in various places, at their old strength. It may be suboptimal to fight them now, before you have Riala or any new party members. Locations include: Withered Mountain, all forest maps in Delgar Forest, Bandit Pass, both Aram desert maps, Twisted Glen.
Similarly, there are some unlisted mini-quests for which you could wait until you have Riala: Clearing demons from House Rose's warehouse, clearing the random cave in Eustrin, gathering 3 plague samples from Tak'Kan Wilds, killing the Gargant in Tak'Kan Wilds. The Impaler can be brought along for the latter two, unless you killed him of course.
This chapter will have many new investments and ProN purchases, and several rounds of identical investment returns. You'll get the first round as soon as you pick up Megail in Stineford.
Lynine is still offering the Theltiar Flowhouse investment if you visit her there, but only after collecting her in Helvanna.
An expensive investment becomes available in Elleani's old Gasm Falls home after meeting her.
Some investments only become available after retrieving Megail or after your first Tower visit, and there's no reason to invest before then. These include: House of Love band tour, Lustlord Temples expansion, Tarran'Kan slum remodeling, Tak'Kan democracy.
The mini-quest to get Bertricia talking to Helvanna succubi can be completed after the Tower visit with enough development of the Chalice States.
Research with Riala also becomes available after the Tower visit.
If you plan to invest in the orc trader in the New Givini resettlement camp, do so before taking other actions that might benefit Givini, lest the price increase.
Don't invest in Potions and More, because you won't get a good return and there is a better way to take care of them.
During the 2nd investment cycle of Chapter 4, your base defenses will be judged. Plan your (immediate effect) investments and (one cycle delayed effect) research accordingly.
You will know Yhilin is ready to trigger its final state of integration when you can no longer give the noble liaison money. The check for this happens after the first Tower visit.
There may be scenes at the master bed in HQ after the first Tower visit, or after you maximize a girl's affection. Iris and Megail may also have one in Megail's office.
There are new synergy skills in HQ Courtyard, but old ones are still found in the Training Ground at Yhilin Palace.
There is an arbitration event in the Feroholm region's Merchant Camp, in the big building. It's best to invest first before triggering it, which may open the possibility of a neutral fourth option. However, the New Givini option may be best anyway.
It is not yet worth spending ProN on HQ stats (military, magic, hospitality).
Once Orcent returns, he can have conversations in various bars across the continent. Some slightly increase the affections of other characters.
Be sure to talk to Biyue in Zirantia, to Wynn in her house, and to Elleani in the Givini camps and then her estate.
In the elven forests (AKA "sylvan region"), check the sparkle in southwestern Twisted Glen for an affection conversation.
There is also one in Delgar Caverns, at the magic circle.
The unmarked shack in southern Cee'Kan contains an investment opportunity. Pretty decent one, too. For some definitions of decent.
There are minor hidden benefits (though not unique ones) to buying some things offered by palace decoration vendors, or buying everything they offer.
If you left equipment with Sho, you can get it back by visiting her at the orc pools in Tarran'Kan.
If Rachila is dead there's nothing more to be done for the Stineford succubi's potion needs.
Enemies in Extradimensional Space are difficult and appear in medium-large groups. It's recommended to have Carina for defense and healing. Here's some info on each:
Inchoate Eye: Resists Earth, Poison. Has low-moderate amounts of resistance to ailments, so try starting battle with ailment-inflicting skills that inflict several at once or target several enemies at once.
Inchoate Insect: Weak to Fire, Lightning, Sex. Resists Physical, Ice, Poison, Earth. Moderate DEF. Mostly resists non-lust ailments, but lust ailments are only moderately resisted, and Deathblow and Corrupt work. Best to use magic.
Inchoate Flier: Resists most elements, but Ice and Poison less so. Moderate MDF. Mostly resists non-lust ailments, but lust ailments are only moderately resisted, and Deathblow and Corrupt work. Has a group attack. Best to use physical damage, but magic may work.
Inchoate Scythe: Weak to Fire, Anti-Sex. Resists Ice, Lightning, Poison, Earth. Immune to almost all ailments. Strong physical attack, and can also drain MP. Killing these should be your priority.
Reality Leech: Weak to Lightning, Poison, Sex. Resists Fire, Ice, Earth, Anti-Sex. Immune to all ailments. Strong physical attack, and can also drain MP. Only has single-target attacks. Good party members include Aka, Hilstara, Altina, Qum, Robin - the latter two may have synergy skills.
Solidified Chaos: Weak to Fire, Poison, Sex. Resists Ice, Lightning, Earth, Anti-Sex. Strongly resists poison, immune to all other ailments. Only has physical attacks, targeting one or all.
Though it has no effect, there's an easily missed conversation in the south part of the first Extradimensional Space at a mirror.
After you establish your Extradimensional HQ, talk to the "girl" on the east side of the "island." Talk to her again whenever the plot advances, as you'll want to have all her conversations.
Ancient Ruin normal enemies all can be confused, making Robin's Disrupt useful as well as Hilstara's Bash (Nalili may also know Bash if Hilstara trained her). They also all have an elemental and a status weakness.
Don't blind the Tentacle Guards or they will use a strong certain-hit attack. They are weak to Fire and Anti-Sex; Physical, Lightning, and Earth also work. It is possible to poison and debuff them, but they have some resistance.
Don't blind the blue Knight of Terror or it'll use Spellsword. It can be stunned at 50% rate, and is weak to Fire. Only (Mighty) Bash (or Stunning Strike, if Simon still has it) is capable of stunning without the risk of blinding, though.
You can blind and poison the yellow Knight of Terror, and it is weak to Ice.
If you silence the green Knight of Terror, it will use Brutal Blow. However, if you debuff it, it may be ineffective enough that you can focus on the other two.
== Succession ==
Talk to Tyna in Ardford Castle early on. When she is defended from demons by a cloaked figure, support him rather than upstaging him.
Don't miss Hester in the Religious District after you meet Jhenno in Ardford Cathedral.
Don't forget you can leave Ardford via the east exit to access the Gardens of Steam and the Order of Silence's lot.
An efficient early act in New Givini is to find Elleani in the southeastern Courtly Chambers.
In Courtly Chambers, merely talking to the Givini king's aide (guy east of his throne) or Bhakan's guard (in the southwest dining hall) will get an Elleani affection loss. You should still do it, to avoid a greater loss later, but don't do it before the Farnan warehouse confrontation.
The ball in New Givini won't end the section, and should be done after introducing yourself to everyone, but before you have final confrontations with Luanell or any throne candidate.
If possible, and you haven't already, introduce the Givini equipment shop girl to the teahouse.
Mestan will demand an immediate decision if you talk to him in your room in Courtly Chambers. Don't touch him if you're still unsure. You can find him in the teahouse afterward for a beneficial conversation.
Unlike most demons, the ones in the New Givini rift can do physical attacks as well as magical, so don't sacrifice too much DEF for MDF.
After you've done enough to gather support, talk to Elleani to confirm Tyna will be offered the ambassador role.
== Erosian conflict ==
If you plan to invest in Tak'Kan or HQ stats, this is a good time to do it.
However, it's too soon for airship militarization.
Remember to talk to any harem member whose affection is ready to be locked at 100.
Be sure to check the HQ Courtyard if you qualify for new synergy skills, or the old Training Ground in Yhilin if you still lack some from there.
Unlike Uyae's Auras of Might or Spirit, her Aura of Agility synergy skill with Aka has no downsides, boosting most stats a bit, plus some evasion.
Unusually for her, Balia will have an affection conversation in the Courtyard after Orc Diversification research is completed.
Refamiliarize yourself with Trin's copy slots, because you'll have a few opportunities in this section.
Talk to everyone during walkaround sections.
You'll be able to re-equip after transitions, and strip before most.
If the Ramasta mage guild representative doesn't say "Aram in general is hostile to anything you want to do... though not as hostile as I expected" it may help to copy the priestess outside.
Tower combat tips: Disable Nothingness with status effects, disable or debuff Potentialities. Nothingness can also be poisoned (25% resistance). Spiders are glass cannons. Use ice or sex on Carnal Arcane Demons. Archers are priority targets.
2/3 votes in favor are necessary to get Tak'Kan to release Sho to your service. 4/5 get you some additional bonuses and an orc weapon, though this is probably not worthwhile.
In Kanese Tower Foundation, you should wait until Simon joins to clear wandering monsters; his level will matter soon. Do immediately clear the stationary ones with darker sprites, though. There will not be a boss at the end of this map.
At the southeast key point, Orcent will join the battle on turn 3. Try to end the fight when Orcent is there, so that Orcent gets EXP and an eyepatch upgrade.
Remember in the Tower you can jump 1-tile gaps.
Uyae's Healing Aura has a 50% chance to remove Nothingness status.
Zirantian Tower Foundation has a hard-to-see chest with a Zirantian Claw. Also, mobile enemies might be hiding behind trees.
Be sure to remove all enemies before interacting with the sparkle.
There's an opportunity for an extra Abyssal Gem in Zirantian Tower Foundation if you let Ginasta stay.
Confronting the Fucklord in Darghelon will uncap Lynine's affection, allowing it to be raised to 100 and locked. Confronting in Gheldaron will not do the same for Orilise, and will not alter her affection as much. Either choice will slightly harm the region you don't choose.
Fighting the main group of Erosians in both Aramite and Zirantian Tower Foundations will cause you to move on, so first defeat or loot everything else you can.
== Stenai ==
After the prevous section, Robin has a scene at the HQ master bed.
As with some Arclent stores, buying all the palace decor offered by Gifts of Endel and then speaking with the shopkeeper will net a small bonus to the hidden country score.
The maid cannot yet be recruited, but you should speak to her again after she moves to the bakery.
You can get the enchanter to do something for Altina if you're persistent (and have Altina). It also may be required to speak with him now to get future help in Ghenalon.
Stock up on MP restoratives prior to finishing the Stenai section, if you don't have many. Stenai Pastry is good value at high levels since it's percentage restorative.
There are 6 minor ways to gain understanding and influence in Stenai during your visit. If you get them all, at the end of the small tower area Iris will say "Though I think we still did an especially good job of delving deeper into Stenai while we were here."
It's possible to reacquire any missing party members before fighting anything in the purple Tower area, so they don't miss EXP. Just dodge enemies.
The only switches that don't show their effects are one-time switches for the northwest loot.
In addition to the obvious healing crystal, you can receive one full heal at the purple pool after the cutscene there. However, at that time the healing crystal becomes inaccessible until you beat the two northern bosses, though you may wish to save it for the area's final boss anyway. Also at this time, chests and enemies will appear in places you've already been. While the truly significant loot is behind several doors, it may be advisable to do a sweep before leaving. The least obvious chest will be behind a growth near where you entered.
Demonic Guardian is vulnerable to Fire, Poison status, and ATK/MAG debuffing.
Silence Shattered Flesh.
The red-and-black Corrupted Node takes 250% Sex damage, 125% Poison damage, and has only 25% resistance to Poison status. Unfortunately, the green Corrupted Node's biggest vulnerabilities are 150% Anti-Sex and 125% Ice damage. Neither can be debuffed in ATK or MAG, and they don't have DEF or MDF worth debuffing.
== A New Life ==
The princess can be visited via the Chalice States teleport crystal. Don't copy her.
Wynn and the new arrival can have an HQ bed scene after they meet.
Conversation at Wynn's house about yellow candles.
You can visit the Potion Hermit even if you already have the Gray Lotus. However, upcoming events may remove the 100,000 ProN fee, so don't do it yet.
If you have not arranged a meeting of Bertricia and the Ivalan succubus from Helvanna, do so now. The Ivalan succubus may not be there if your hidden Chalice States score is still too low. Investments in Helvanna and Gasm Falls can fix this.
If you have not already seen 10 bar conversations with Orcent, do so now. The easiest to miss is in Illustrious Booze Shack, which requires investment and possibly multiple visits, and the most important is in The Leaky Bucket in Ramasta.
Go ahead and choose your next research.
If you are planning to invest in the Lustlord Statues or Church Expansion, or the House of Love band tour, this may be a good time.
Also, the Eustrin and its Guild of Blacksmiths will be inaccessible after Gawnfall, presumably reopening next investment cycle.
== Gawnfall ==
Don't miss the outhouse for an amusing conversation.
Speak with Esmera in the High Priestess Chambers before speaking to Kerannii, unless you plan to avoid Esmera entirely, which I don't recommend. Your chance to speak and to make a deal with Esmera ends when you sleep.
If you will not make a deal with Kerannii, at least tell her so. It is advised to make a deal with either her or Esmera. Esmera is generally considered the better choice.
Ardford has many dialogue changes, but the ones that matter are: The Silver Stump's front desk, redhead errand boy at Silver Stump, restaurant manager in the Business District, and succubi in the guardhouse (if present). There's also a new Headquarters decor shop.
If given the option, it is strictly better to offer Annah an olive branch than to do nothing.
In the unity vote, it is recommended to either keep any deal with Esmera or else discuss Church leadership.
If you offend Yelarel, tell her you were trying to convince Annah.
It is counterproductive to let Andra address the synod before the vote on succubi, though it may be amusing.
Allowing Iris to speak is useful.
Talk to Qum in Memorial Chambers on day three for a possible Healing Kiss upgrade.
In the fourth vote (Ivalan succubi), it is not recommended to appeal to Nabith or Annah. If you are low on influence, this may be a good vote to remain silent for.
In the fifth vote, if succubi were accepted into the Church, allowing Riala to speak will be very helpful and may make an appeal to Annah more effective.
Speak to Herin before the purity vote and urge her to do more to change standards.
On the fourth night, find and speak with Sarai, Esmera, Yelarel, Elleani, and the Zirantian representative. You can wait until after returning from the Tower.
It's necessary to have cooperative anti-Fucklord action and at least 3 unique orcs to avoid having a named orc die later.
You must win concessions from the Mother's Guard in the final issues phase, if you want to uncap Orilise's affection.
You must achieve at least basic success for the Goddess of Magic to get Wendis a Crystal of Harmony.
The best tier of results for the Eustrin issue require using every possible asset on it, including Esmera or Kerannii. You can't get the best result if you didn't make a deal with one of them.
== after Gawnfall ==
There may be new interactions and rewards across the world, including these which may matter:
various conversations in Helvanna Cathedral including Yelarel, Tarri, and Andra
conversation with Herin in Helvanna (if promoted) or Ivala's Glade (if not)
conversation with Kaskia in Stineford Cathedral (if promoted) or The Leaky Bucket (if not)
conversation with Kerannii in Ramasta Unpeople HQ
conversation in the Aramite Fort
conversation with Varia in Zirantia slum bar
picnic at Elleani's estate (with 75 affection)
Qum roleplay in the Feroholm church (with Ardford access and succubi allowed in a non-divergent Church)
a reward from the Goddess of Magic cult in Yhilin (if their petition succeeded at Gawnfall)
access to the elven ruin and First Root (if you got freer travel concession from the Mother's Guard)
free access to the Potion Hermit (if you got full free travel concession from the Mother's Guard)
Sarai's HQ in New Givini (and sex scenes if she's allowed, and sex with her with 80 affection, but you may need to leave and return a few times)
investment in the Tak'Kan mine (with Tak'Kan assistance by the Church, discounted with major assistance)
discounts on the Tarran'Kan slum housing investment (based on Church assistance to Tak'Kan)
ability to fund expansion of Ivalan temples into Gasm Falls (if succubi are accepted in the Church, and you've talked to Yelarel about Gawnfall results in Helvanna)
Plus more if you've been allowed into Ardford, such as these which may matter:
conversation with Sister Beatrice in Ardford Cathedral
bar conversations in the Blademasters building and Silver Stump
ability to send the redhead errand boy in the Silver Stump to Gasm Falls
investments from Chapter 2 available again, except the supplier
ability to find a new manager/cook for the Ardford restaurant, with investment in both it and the Givini teahouse and succubi allowed in a non-divergent Church
You may be able to encounter a wandering Chosen in up to 5 locations:
Ari-Yhilina Cathedral
Ardford Religious District, inside the Holy Knights building
Aram Desert Bounty Hunter Office
Forest of the First Root - not available if you didn't get travel concessions from the Mother's Guard
Stineford Cathedral - not available with divergent church or new succubus religion
Don't take the Mother's Pin from the elven ruin immediately. Leave and return first to gain Lynine affection. Taking the pin may still be inadvisable due to future affection changes.
== war prep ==
Finish all sidequests and conversations in Stenai before making a decision with Esthera.
Flirtatious approach is best for Fheliel.
Stenai thugs should be intimidated by surviving until combat ends automatically in a few rounds. It's okay to defeat all but one of them to make it easier, however.
6 points for the Stenai Iris/Feremina paperwork quest (false leads with flavor text not listed):
palace plant tender
palace kitchen staff
Endel bakery (Bounty of Endel)
Orilise in Endel guesthouse
harbor guard
guy near crystals at teleportation site
Nalili's Princess Armor can be sold as soon as you feel it is no longer useful - such as after crafting True Princess Armor.
Qum's phase in the Aram Tower has a conversation between Qum and Wendis.
This is your last chance in Chapter 4 to visit Stineford, Aram, Zirantia, or the elven forests. It is not your last chance to obtain unique rewards from the Givini ruins that cost 5 million to open. This is a good time to fund opening the Givini ruins, or the Stineford succubus tower expansion.
Pre-war checklist:
Have any pending affection conversations.
Check for newly available synergy skills (HQ Courtyard).
Choose research.
Diplomatic decisions with Janine.
Use your Crystal of Stability to make something at Premium Steel.
Any final investments before the war. (You may wish to leave up to 375k for investments in Erosia, plus whatever you need to bank for the Givini Ruins if planning to get that next round.)
== Erosian war ==
Talk to Wendis on the east side of Tower Crossroads, then later at the westmost point.
Don't bother casting lances on the normal enemies in Erosian Pass, unless you find you need to. Robin needs to donate mana to a mage here, and free healing will be scarce and limited through this whole section.
Don't miss the succubus in the northwest corner.
There will be no chance to re-equip after talking to the last person in the cave and fighting the MWAF. Don't wear your best gear and especially don't bother with status protection, except maybe against blindness.
Advance aggressively if you sent early troops, cautiously otherwise.
It's usually better to save the seed for the Fucklord and not kill the blue demons. With reasonably good play, you'll receive a Demonic Seed at the end of the war instead of here.
Push to seize Kyangan if you have 20+ Erosia Front. Mestan scouting Erosia can give +3.
It's usually better to support the orcs than Robin, as getting a good result with the orcs helps with Robin's part too, and it will probably save at least one additional unique orc.
The Fucklord doesn't inflict status effects. Save your pins and charms for the next part, and possibly your best equipment also.
If you don't get the Fucklord to say "Dammit, that hurts a bit" during the battle, it's recommended to reload and retry.
Fucklord's Inkling and Male Remnant can be reliably Charmed by (Combat) Flirt, if you wish to stay in combat to restore HP and MP. Similarly the Shadow Slut and Succubus can be reliably Dominated.
Be sure to sit on the Tower wide throne before leaving, for a Tower Front bonus. It also restores all HP and 100 MP to everyone.
A chest with an Erosian Dress is mostly hidden behind a pink tree west of the wide throne.
The Fucklord's Tower bosses don't inflict status effects, so you can use your accessory slots for other things.
Focus on advancement if you sent early troops into Erosia, or on scouting if you held back. If Kyangan is destroyed at the investment phase, you can restore to this decision and focus on Kyangan.
While all Tak'Kan Tower enemies are half vulnerable to lust statuses, Nothingness, Tormented, and Wild Hunter are all 100% vulnerable to Corrupt, if you wish to stay in combat to restore HP and MP. The Ancient Glove or better yet Incubus Glove can help Simon generate SP for this. Riala, Robin, and Simon will each need 300-500 MP to set a trap.
Talk to all NPCs at Zirantian Waystation, and don't miss the Divine Claw that appears in the northwest after some progress is made.
The chests in Divine Claw Base are obtainable before crossing the poison trap.
Don't have your best gear equipped, as all the enemies here are unchanged from Chapter 3.
Don't fight the apprentice groups in Sylvan Grove, as it harms negotiations later.
The Forest of Flickering Leaves has 4 chests and 6 enemy groups.
The Zirantia Fucklord fight is just endurance. It's better if you can endure the 6 rounds. If you somehow defeat him you are penalized.
At Gryndine River, speak to Janine before talking to anyone not near your starting point, don't miss the ambassador near her, don't "unite with Janine" in negotiations, and don't ask both nations to do customs checks but instead pick one you want to help.
At Ghenalese Battlefield, talk to the orc mage after Balia arrives.
You cannot prevent the theft of the supplies near the middle of the battlefield, and should instead let it happen.
Don't miss Fuani in the aftermath phase of the Royal Palace of Zirantia.
It may be desirable to purchase one or two Ryoken Battleaxes, because it's a good weapon for Simon or Hilstara. Furthermore, instead of decreasing accuracy as most axes do, this axe gives an accuracy bonus, which is especially good for Hilstara as she will be able to reliably deal damage and gains a powerful offensive skill after the war.
On the second visit to Ghenalese Battlefield, don't miss the Rodak succubus wandering around the battlefield.
There are multiple immediate benefits to torture, including Wendis mental cohesion and Sabitha affection. However, there will be downsides later.
== Deepwilds ==
Though it gives no benefit, the large skeleton south of the teleporter in Aram desert now has a conversation.
Be sure to speak to the little not-girl before proceeding to Chapter 5. Good answers are:
Trin - if you've locked her affection, say her situation is unique, otherwise say you love her.
Obstacle - talk through our differences.
Qum - thought it would help more people in the end. (You may not get this question.)
Varia - it was expedient. (You may not get this question.)
Upgraded Dominate is cheaper and has a chance to apply Blind, Silence, and Stun. It also does significant Sex damage, making it potentially useful even against non-female foes.
Aka gains SP only when damaging or defeating an enemy or evading an attack.
Don't miss the obstacle-removing book near the start of Deepwilds Shrine.
Though it gives no benefit, there is also a legible signpost nearby.
== Return to Stineford ==
It's efficient to first visit Sarai, the Duke, Elleani in the Duke's library, Annah, and possibly the Gilded Lily, to get quests started. Ask Sarai specifically about "local concerns".
The Pale Orchid is the inn attached to Keeper's Tavern, which is the bar with the cellar rats quest, in the Market District.
There are 11 magical points in total.
Disable or destroy orange Depths Wisps in the first round, or they will self-destruct for massive damage. They are 100% vulnerable to Corrupt and Deathblow, and somewhat vulnerable to various other conditions.
Be sure to solve Annah's drunk problem so you don't miss Orcent in the Academy lecture halls or get penalized in negotiations with Annah.
One of the bank guards is talkative, but it's not necessary to speak to him.
It may be wise to save before making a decision on any Succubus Tower B1 opportunities that may be available, so you can check Sarai's evaluations in the Cathedral decision stage and reload to make different choices.
If the Church is divergent, Annah is much angrier if you presume to dictate what will be done with the mine. Consider choosing "nothing for now".
== Return to Eustrin ==
Talk to Neranda first, as she comments on several things while along, and these matter later:
Relondo's room
Agnan's room
angry B4 business hall dwarf
middle request board
market monument
women's store (talk to north guard)
B6 ore merchant
surface hidden entrance
Don't open chests in the Tower until you've reached the Tertia shrine in Deep Tunnels. Do fight all Tower enemies beforehand, though.
You can leave the Rocky Path and Deep Tunnels areas anytime to heal or restock, but not the Lonely Path area that you visit after returning from Deep Tunnels and talking to Neranda.
Dwaregasts are vulnerable to Fire and Anti-Sex. Nightmare Dwaregasts resist all status effects, have AGI 225~325, and both multi-hit and strong single-target physical attacks. The boss also has a party attack. If you take too long to kill them, they are likely to web you, which decreases DEF/MDF/AGI, can't be cured, and comes with other statuses. Expect to need defense buffs, enemy offense debuffs, healing, and revival. Vhala is your most useful party member for debuffing and then damage, and you will probably also want two of Robin, Hilstara, Carina, or Uyae. Simon may be most useful for his Support skill, especially if he has the Incubus Glove. Try removing the boss's companions first.
You do not have to defeat all the Dwaregasts now, but it's better if you do.
Gold-trim Tower Node has an attack that debuffs DEF/MDF and another that does massive damage if you have less than 200 DEF or MDF. Use physical attacks on it, as it has no DEF. Dark Tower Node uses mass magic attacks, has no MDF, and is vulnerable to Ice, Sex, and Anti-Sex. Neither Node's ATK or MAG can be debuffed.
Don't miss the Sphere of Earth in the northwest part of Lonely Path. Jumping is necessary.
== Sovereign ==
Offer Aka, Vhala, and Wendis a divine shard; they'll refuse but appreciate it. Offering one to Sarai does use it, despite the ambiguous dialogue.
According to the developer, distributing divine shards "won't be a time-sensitive decision."
Ralke can now be improved, if alive.
The statue behind Tertia can now be examined.
It's efficient to visit Rebel's Pass (north of Stineford) before doing other things, to begin a sidequest. Be sure Hilstara is well-equipped.
Also visit Helvanna and speak to Iris. Her quest has 12 places to visit and ends in Extradimensional HQ, where she will hopefully say "I can't imagine learning very much else". Afterward you can visit the shop in the Stineford slum, if you want.
If the Yhilin slum has been upgraded (repaired streets etc.) a dark elf mage will give you a mysterious Demonic Fruit when you speak to him.
Visit Patrici in Yhilin Palace for a conversation about airships.
Talk to Herin in Tak'Kan if she is there.
Min is in Givino Vinai if you invested in her trade route. She can focus on a country of your choice in her trade route: New Givini, Chalice States, Tak'Kan, or Zirantia.
Speaking to the old woman in Keeper's Tavern in Stineford Business District will unlock a Feroholm investment back at Headquarters, if you haven't already.
Speak to the guard at Zirantian Ruins Entrance.
Once you've locked Uyae's affection, speak to Allue and Alluon in the Royal Palace of Zirantia.
If Biyue requests investment in infrastructure and you grant it, ask about Zirantia's condition for a possible sex scene when Zirantia is doing well.
Speak to Feremina in Stenai Palace, then Janine in Yhilin Palace, then the Stenai Embassy in Ardford Embassies.
Speak to the succubus ambassador in Ardford Embassies, if she is there.
The Holy Knights building in Ardford's Religious District yields a sex scene if Dari has joined the harem.
The scrolls next to the woman in Fuck Palace can be taken. Also speak to Fheliel if she's there.
Talk to the child in Hall of Ryoken for free books.
Investigate the back offices of Hall of Ryoken and the sexual healing building, if you funded Iris's or Lynine's initiative in Erosia.
Be sure to visit the Ryoken bar, then visit HQ 1F and speak to Kara, if you recruited her.
In Basanai, speak to the Premier, the port authority, and the giggling thief on the dock.
With locked affection for both Lynine and Orilise, both versions of their threesome scene unlock.
Find a weird wandering Chosen in 18 of these 19 places and receive a Shining Sword:
Ari-Yhilina Outskirts, Mercenary Offices, Reval's former room (requires investment)
Ari-Yhilina Slum, Fighting Pits (requires investment)
Givini War Monument (requires investment)
Tak'Kan Mine Interior, northwest corner (requires investment)
Stineford region, succubus bar (requires investment)
Stineford region, mine exterior
Feroholm region, Western Delgar Forest, cavern
Feroholm region, abandoned shrine
Feroholm region, Merchant Camp, Megail's old tent
Ardford Business District, near southwest exit
Elven forests, Twisted Glen, northeast corner
Zirantian Ruin, accessed via NPC near palace stairs
Aram Desert, near north exit
New Givini, Givino Vinai, Fashion Shop
Chalice States, Gasm Falls, Orc Tunnels
Stenai, Mana Forest, southeast quadrant
Erosia, Kyangan inn
Tatseni, Basanai bar
Forges of Ghenalon
Hilstara's quest can be started by visiting Rebel's Pass. Afterward, find former Redlights in these 8 places, to receive 10 Hilstara affection:
Ari-Yhilina Outskirts, Mercenary Offices, main room (requires investment)
Givini War Monument (requires investment)
Stineford Noble District, The Crimson Cape
Stineford region, mine exterior
Feroholm, south of the bar
Feroholm region, Western Delgar Forest, Bounty Hunter Camp
Ardford Military District, Blademasters Guild
Rebel's Pass, shack where you began this quest.
Lord of Stillness is weak against lightning and poison, Lord of Shadow is weak against ice and poison, so your best loadout is probably Altina, Riala and Robin. Stillness doesn't have physical resistance, but he has an impressive physical defense stat, Shadow has no physical defense but a serious MDF stat. Spam lightning and poison attacks against Stillness, since he can inflict everyone with an incurable "profound silence", shutting down your tactical options until the state expires. Shadow can hit you with "profound blindness", but that's mostly irrelevant since it'll be a mage fight. Their poison weaknesses are strongest and Altina has a small chance of giving them the poison state, which will help chip away at their health.
The Shambling Behemoths in the Order of Silence basement are least resistant to Sex (10%), then Physical, Earth, and Poison (25%). They can be inflicted with MDF or DEF debuffs at 50% rate, and Poison at 25%. Everything else is ineffective. They hit quite hard and debuff you, so Carina and Qum may be advisable party members to counter with buffs.
With Wendis and Wynn in the harem, visit the binding circles in Wynn's basement. If nothing happens, visit the bed and tomb first.
Orcent will be fighting soon. Buy him equipment if you haven't.
== Lustlord's Fortress ==
Shining Sword behind a bookcase near a portrait, in Lustlord's Tower.
Lustful Paradise has no status weaknesses and is strong. Might want to destroy it first in combat. It is weak to Ice and Anti-Sex, but strongly resistant to Sex and critical hits. It can attack everyone with Wind or just one with Blind/Silence/Stun.
The boss has no status weaknesses, and resists Fire, but is vulnerable to Ice, Earth, Sex, and Anti-Sex. It has a magic attack that poisons all, a magic attack that does physical Earth damage, and a strong single-target attack. Plan accordingly.
== 2nd Gathering ==
When allowed to freely roam the Gathering Complex, be sure to speak to Orcent, Grubbak, Vunne, and the former Unsuccubus.
Don't explain Gathering events to the newbies, but don't mock them.
Recommended investigation order: Skullpounder, Nyst, Mestan (directly), Lustlord, Lord of Blood. You can restore to see Fuzkao's investigation if you want. There is alternate dialogue during the orc events for investigating Lustlord or Lord of Blood, and additional dialogue with Mestan if you sent the succubus to him at the Empress's orgy.
When you investigate the Lustlord's Chambers, remember to put the key back behind the painting. Later, check the painting in Simon's room.
Lord of Blood's investigation includes a barely visible sparkle on the orc beds after checking the big bed.
You can escape the match with the Orgasmic Champion orc to forfeit it. Same with Nalili's group. Whether either is wise depends on your situation.
The Lord of Blood likes big spiky dildos, and the Lustlord likes chilling or expensive lube.
Talk twice to the succubus asking about dildo types.
The missing triplets are near the basement vault (accessed from 2F staircase), behind candles on 3F, and by some shelves in the northwest corner of the department store. They don't appear until you are asked to find them.
The Anak's Gauntlet chests are nearly worthless before the race starts, so collect them during the race or not at all. It's better to collect them unless you are very slow at racing. They contain no unique rewards, but your race score partly depends on how many chests you get. You can't get the southwest chest.
Be sure to mark and avoid both examination spells (where paths briefly split).
Hold down Ctrl to skip chest text, and remember to enable instant text and auto-dash.
If there is 9 minutes and 50 seconds left on the timer (or more) you will be accused of cheating and receive no points. Otherwise, do the best you can.
If you feel like reloading a long way, Tower delving research assists with this, and so does mapping the local Tower in an investigation phase. Neither is strictly necessary for the best score, but both are very helpful.
Best result gives a chest in Doom King's Chambers with a Liquid Sex.
Don't give Mestan mana if you helped him against the Lustlord's Guardians.
Don't bother attacking Fuzkao.
Don't miss Tanurak's appearance to the southeast after the Esthera decision.
Best result in Nyst's Battleground gives a Shining Sword.
Do Trin's ritual.
On the 2nd visit to Climax, don't miss Mestan in the fighting ring or Vunne in Orgasmic Emporium.
Full offense is the best strategy for Unstable Chosen, though they're also 25% vulnerable to Stun. They're most vulnerable to Sex, then to Poison, Ice, and Anti-Sex.
The Lustlord can be debuffed and poisoned despite resistance. He is vulnerable to Sex, Lightning, Earth, and Anti-Sex.
== after 2nd Gathering ==
Speak to glasses girl in Hall of Ryoken about the Gathering, desk guard in Hall of Ryoken with Ginasta, and dark ninja in Ryoken Military HQ with Ginasta.
All 3 Tanurak fights involve set enemy actions on a mostly fixed cycle.
Burning Corporeality is not affected by Fire resistance and scales with target DEF.
In addition to its set actions, either Sexual Entity will revive its partner with half health, two turns after its partner dies.
Stenai Palace has a decision to make, and so does Feroholm if it was revitalized. Feroholm can help meet Palina's requirements for Eustrin independence, if still needed.
Climax and the Orgasmic Palace now have several NPCs with proposals that generate new investment opportunities elsewhere in those locations. Also Helvanna, Tarran'Kan Hall of Order, and Finery of Kaant in Ghenalon. And Rodak of course. Many of these are not profitable investments, but at this stage helping the world is the greater focus.
Don't choose neutral packaging for Rodak aid.
Speaking to nearby orcs and locking Balia's affection each reduce the cost of the Orc Hut investment.
If you intend to fund Rodak agriculture, check with Tertia for a possible investment to reduce the cost to 2 million ProN (2.25M including Tertia's investment).
In the Tower Library, the southeast book begins a short sidequest.
