| Please feel free to forward to colleagues and fellow researchers and share news of our journal | Selected papers from ISEF-2019 conference Guest Editors: Paolo Di Barba, Maria Evelina Mognaschi and Sławomir Wiak Since its very beginning in Poland in the year 1974, the International Symposium on Electromagnetic Fields in Mechatronics, Electrical and Electronic Engineering (ISEF) is a meeting point of scientists promoting different cultures and knowledge. In fact, the international community behind the conference – which grew up substantially in the years – gathers academic and industrial researchers, working in the broad area of applied electromagnetics. The conference took place in Nancy (France) from 28th through 30th August 2019, organized by the Université de Lorraine. | EDITORIAL Selected papers from ISEF-2019 conference – Openly Available Di Barba, Paolo | Mognaschi, Maria Evelina | Wiak, Slawomir RESEARCH ARTICLES Rotor head shape optimization in a salient pole synchronous machine Mohamodhosen, Bilquis | Tounzi, Abdelmounaïm | Gillon, Frédéric Electromagnetically excited torsional vibration to rock drilling support Trawinski, Tomasz | Szczygiel, Marcin | Tomas, Arkadiusz Rocking isolation of bridge pier using shape memory alloy Rele, Rajesh R. | Balmukund, Ranjan | Mitoulis, Stergios A. | Bhattacharya, Subhamoy Magnetic and mechanical analysis of IPM synchronous motor: Design and construction Chaithongsuk, Sisuda | Chaiworapuek, Weerachai | Takorabet, Noureddine | Rahouadj, Rachid FEM-based transformer design optimization technique with evolutionary algorithms and geometric programming Orosz, Tamás | Karban, Pavel | Pánek, David | Doležel, Ivo Coupled design approach for an integrated GaN-based wireless power transfer rotating system – Open Access Bastiaens, Koen | Krop, Dave C.J. | Curti, Mitrofan | Jumayev, Sultan | Lomonova, Elena A.
