Thursday 11AM - 2PM REMEMBER though, it's playa-time. (+30 minutes on everything)
Frozen Oasis: 8:15 & C
We clear the Frozen Oasis Lounge and make way for a younger audience. Babies, children, young adults, and families are all invited to sit close and discover the sounds and shapes of instrumental performance. The goal is to introduce and inspire a love of music in a younger generation by also inviting them to participate and try the instruments for themselves! A musical petting zoo, guaranteed to bring smiles to all involved. A lunch will also be provided for the children in the second half of the event.

Part I: Short Performances
An introduction to the instrument that you play, both verbally and with a musical performance of ~3 minutes or so. Ideally it would involve the audience participation in some manner (not necessary!)

Part II: Instrument Petting Zoo Round Robin
The children will split up into small groups, and move from section to section around Frozen Oasis in 10-15 minute intervals. There will be tables set up with the instruments - kid-sized - and they will be able to try out the instruments for themselves. We will need some volunteers and teachers to help the children with making some sounds. One section will also be eating a lunch snack.
