SkarWorX completes ambitious album triologi on Lamour Records.
Seed-X vol.3 is the third and last album, in a cross-genre trilogy from the Norwegian artist and pianist SkarWorX. The album contains, among other songs, the singles Lille and Why Are You Here?.
Seed-X vol.3 is released on April 21st on the Swedish label Lamour Records.
The music consists of an instrumental and cinematic universe, with clear inspiration from fellow pianists such as Yann Tiersen, Ólafur Arnalds and Nils Frahm, and like the two previous albums this one also contains six tracks. The French star cellist Dorran Alibaud (Mahler Chamber Orchestra, Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra, Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Berliner Philharmoniker etc.) plays cello on all tracks. In terms of genre, SkarWorX draws inspiration from both the club scene and neo-classical music, and the organic and processed piano, which is often used simultaneously, acts as a signature for the entire trilogy.
Since its inception, SkarWorX has received media coverage in a number of magazines and played several concerts, most recently in Kulturkirken Jakop in Oslo, under the auspices of Live Nation supporting with the Dutch pianist Joep Beving. Both music videos have been nominated for the Norwegian short film festival in Grimstad, and the music has been used in podcasts and played on the radio.
– In between all the tours, I began to feel a longing to return to the piano, an instrument to which I have devoted a large part of my life. First as a classical pianist, later in pop and electronic music. I wanted to create a colorful and vibrant musical universe for me and the audience, where we experience complete disconnection from the world around us, says SkarWorX
