Template editor

User:Snowmanonahoe

I have been working on preparing templates for dark mode and have needed to make several edits to template-protected pages.[1][2][3][4][5] I would like TPE to reduce the friction of this work. Snowmanonahoe (talk · contribs · typos) 21:56, 16 May 2024 (UTC) [reply]

Just noting that the last guideline does not seem to be met quite yet; there are still pending requests, and some of the requested changes seem trivial (though I do recognise that figuring out something like Special:Diff/1222657015 may be non-trivial even though it looks like a simple change). Primefac (talk) 12:29, 17 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I don't really interpret any of my requests as non-trivial. Even the ones that do take time really just amount to bug-fixes. I figured I'd request the permission anyway because it's unlikely that I will ever make those sorts of significant requests, in the course of what I'm currently doing anyway.
For the record though, I consider Chembox, Multiple image, and Tree chart to be non-trivial by your definition. Snowmanonahoe (talk · contribs · typos) 13:36, 17 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Well, I did give you credit for three... But that's just the numbers, not the interpretation.
Re: your latest comment, though: is this something that you see yourself needing indefinitely, or is it more of a short-term "sort out dark mode and then I'm done" sort of thing? Primefac (talk) 13:54, 17 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
When I'm done with this, if I have the perm indefinitely I probably won't actively seek out new template work to do. Might handle edit reqs occasionally and do things that need doing as I stumble upon them, but not much more unless I find some other big 'project' I like. I have no objections to a limited time/scope grant. Snowmanonahoe (talk · contribs · typos) 14:59, 17 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Done until the end of the year. If you need it for longer let us know. Primefac (talk) 15:02, 17 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
