Cue was established in 1968 and remains owned and operated by the founding Levis family. At the time of its inception, Cue made way for a new wave of young fashion inspired by the scenes in London and Paris [2].

The first Cue store opened in the Strand Arcade in Sydney in 1968. Today, Cue has stores across Australia and New Zealand, including concessions in Myer and David Jones, as well as the online retailer, The Iconic [2].

Cue opened sister brand Veronika Maine, in 1998 [3]. In 2013, Cue acquired a major interest in designer brand Dion Lee, providing business support to the eponymous fashion label [4].
