Tchobe Martin Armand (born July 14, 1999),[2] known professionally as Martin's, is a singer, songwriter and composer from Cameroon[3] who combines singer, pianist and guitarist talent.[4][5] Martin's is an Afrobit Productions signed artist.[6]

Early life

Born in Yaounde in the Nkolmesseng district,[7] Martin's did his primary studies at the Essos annex school.[8][9]

Career

In 2020, Martin's was spotted by Afrobit Productions during a casting session.[10][11] He has also collaborated with Stanley Enow, Ko-c and Singuila.[12][13] He released his debut album Once Upon a Time in December 2021.[14] On 24 December 2022, he performed for the first time at the YAFE festival.[15][16] His track Five Star Featuring Sabrina brought him to the attention of Cameroonian and Nigerian audiences.[17][18][19] On February 2023, he released YAWA and the media tagged him as the new rising star of Cameroonian music.[20][21][22][23] In March 2023, Martins's song Five Star charted during one week on the top 3 Spotify Luxembourg.[24][25][26][27]

Awards

On November 2021, thanks to the song Qui A Dit feat Ko-c, Martin's won Male Revelation of the Year at the Balafon Music Awards.[28] On December 2022, he was nominated for Musical revelation of the year at The Public Vision Awards.[29] In January 2023, he was nominated twice for the SGBC awards.[30]

Personal life

Martin's is a Christian. He lives in Yaounde. He is currently signed to Afrobit Productions alongside Sabrina. He's a keen sportsman.[31]
