Sanjay Salil is a well-known media entrepreneur currently holding the position of Managing Director at MediaGuru. He gave up his successful broadcasting career for entrepreneurship. He launched MediaGuru Consultants Pvt Ltd, about 2 decades ago and in a short span of time turned it into one of the top most Global Media Services company. Sanjay has overseen the launch of broadcasting stations and media ventures across Asia, Middle East and Africa. He has consulted world’s leading broadcasters and media companies on technology, content, monetization, and business strategy.

In 2023 Sanjay co-founded the AI and Quantum company, IntellAI, with leading AI & Quantum scientists. His co-founder at IntellAI is Utpal Chakravarti. IntellAI has collaborated with a very reputed Indian University to expedite research work to create proof of concept in Quantum Technology.

Early Life

Sanjay was born in a small village in Jehanabad district in Bihar. He finished his schooling as well as his graduation from Nalanda, Bihar. He did his B.A. in journalism from Makhanlal Chaturvedi National University where he was the student of first batch 1991-1992.

Professional Career

Sanjay's career path, which began with him working as a print journalist at Amar Ujala and Headlines News Agency from 1992 to 1995.

He then went on to take up leadership positions including that of an Executive Producer at AajTak, the country's first private TV news channel, and Joint CEO of Falak TV, where he founded the country's first Urdu-language news channel.

Sanjay founded MediaGuru in 2003 and demonstrated unparalleled foresight in anticipating the future growth of electronic media in South Asia. Over the past two decades, he has spearheaded MediaGuru Consultants, identifying critical gaps in the media industry and specializing in strategic media advisory, content/editorial training, and technology implementation.

Under his leadership, MediaGuru has launched over 20 state-of-the-art news channels and collaborating with over 50 news organizations worldwide, their comprehensive services encompass strategic consulting on monetization, distribution, and digital transformation and turnkey projects in launching news stations, providing media training for journalists, and offering technical solutions.

Sanjay co-founded IntellAI with top scientists in India working in the AI & Quantum domain. IntellAI offers generative AI-based products and services to large public and private enterprises. One of IntellAI's revolutionary products is called Ultimeet - a meeting management and productivity platform designed to make every meeting count, emphasizing collaboration and efficiency. Other products include Voice Biometrics and Language Translation Solutions. IntellAI also offers consulting services in the field of Quantum computing.

Sanjay with his co-founder, Utpal Chakraborty has recently filed for a patent for the invention "enhancing and automating online and offline meeting communication".
