But sometimes they get into conflict with their counterparts, actors and technicians. At one time Nikhil's stardom hype and media hype used to heat up the market. So much so that when the movie Kasam was being shot, at that time Nikhil Upreti, the hero of the movie, got married to actress Sanchita Luitel and went to Mumbai. Producer Ram Prasad Rijal offered Biraj Bhatt a salary of Rs 5 lakh for 10 days after Nikhil refused when he asked him to return to the shoot. But he refused saying that he will not do the film he left under any circumstances. Similarly, in the year 2070, the release dates of actress Rekha Thapa's movie Kali and Biraj's Bhojpuri movie Damini, dubbed in Nepali language, coincided. A controversy arose when Rekha called Biraj a 'dead dog' during the promotions of the movie. In response, he called Rekha indiscreet. Recently, during the production of his home production movie Sanglo, the production manager Sankar Pandey was beaten up.
