When Picks Fly has a passion for old-time music. Through the years of playing together, the group has developed a unique collection of tunes.

The members of the band are:

Shepard Smith (fiddle), Kathy Howell (concertina, mountain dulcimer), Joe Esker (guitar, mandolin), Deanne Carlson (banjo, guitar, mandolin), and Carl Baker (bass).
