Do something EVERY day to become better at your craft!

I’m going to encourage you to spend 15 minutes, yup that’s all 15 minutes each day getting better at the career you’ve chosen. It isn’t that I wouldn’t applaud more – here is the thing; in my experience if you try for more time you’ll do NOTHING instead of doing a little. Instead if you commit to 15 minutes, if you have time you’ll do more.

Here are my two Q1 books to read:

What Great Salespeople Do: The Science of Selling Through Emotional Connection and the Power of Story by Michael Bosworth & Ben Zoldan

Emotional Intelligence for Sales Success: Connect with Customers and Get Results by Colleen Stanley

Together they are changing the way I think about selling.

Even if you’re not a book reader – how about picking a few blogs or publications you want to check out on a regular basis? What about Twitter – would you like your learning to start with 140 character headlines to help you decide what topic to dive into?

Another idea is to interview some people you work with about their success. What are their top 3 tips? Biggest failure and what they learned from it? Ask them anything you always wondered about – you’ll be amazed at the stories you’ll hear.
