Fall Beach Cleanup & Lunch
On Saturday, November 4, join us for a Saturday morning on the beach in Malibu. After a beautiful summer with lots of beach visitors, we thought it would be nice to do a little refreshing of our local beaches. After cleaning up the beach, we will join friends and neighbors at Malibu Seafood for a delicious lunch!
Beach Cleanup: We’ll meet at 10:00 a.m. at Dan Blocker Beach/Corral State Beach (meet directly across PCH from Malibu Seafood) and work our way from one end of the beach to the other gathering trash and debris. You may park along PCH near the beach or in the lot across the highway next to Malibu Seafood, where there are a few spots. Additionally, there is a lot next to the Malibu Seafood lot (the Sara Wan Trailhead lot) that charges a fee of $5 to park. As always, be sure to be very careful crossing PCH.
Please bring the following with you:
*a bucket (similar to the 5-gallon paint buckets you can get at home improvement stores) or a reusable trash bag
*disposable gloves or a lightweight pair of gardening gloves
*a "trash picker/grabber" if you have one (we may also have a few to share)
*a sun hat if needed
*a reusable water bottle
LUNCH: At 11:30 AM, we'll meet at the Malibu Seafood for a delicious lunch at this iconic Malibu destination. The restaurant has a small parking lot so grab a space if you see one, otherwise, there is a lot adjacent (the Sara Wan Trailhead parking lot) that you can park in for a fee of $5. Alternatively, you may park along PCH, but please use caution getting in and our of your car along the highway. Each person can order their lunch at the counter and will be responsible for their own tab. We will arrange for a large communal table to share.
RSVP Required.
