Leukemia and Lymphoma Society Fundraiser

Overview

The ASB Community Service Committee is hosting this fundraiser for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society in honor of Ms. Keller.

 

Purpose

As some of you know, Ms. Keller was diagnosed with non-Hodgkins lymphoma, a form of cancer that first develops in the lymphatic system. As a math teacher, the director of the LIFE program, and the Eagle Buddies coordinator, Ms. Keller has had a tremendous impact on our school. With her and Mr. Keller’s blessing, we hope to rally the Harker community around supporting her personally and combatting leukemia and lymphoma in society.

 

Harker is truly special as a school community. Time and time again, we’ve witnessed the collective strength of each member of our community’s selflessness, whether in the smallest daily act of kindness from students and faculty or in the large-scale fundraisers conducted while online for both COVID and the wildfires. We hope to tap into this same ethos of compassion and devotion to one another that defines our school, reinforced through a rich history of kindness, empathy, and charity. Through a school-wide fundraiser, we hope to make significant contributions to lymphoma research and treatment, each dollar raised to honor Ms. Keller.

 

All of us have considered Harker as a home in some way or another. With this community as our home, there comes the importance of caring for each and every one of our Harker members as family. We are indescribably grateful for Ms. Keller’s support and contributions to our school community and would be honored if you would join us in this fundraising effort against leukemia and lymphoma. When the Harker community comes together, anything is possible, so let us all take a leap against lymphoma!
