"Let This Be the Time" - September 2021

Overview

Join us for this 8-week online faith sharing community exploring the “12 Needs of Eldering,” led by author and adult educator, Janet Schaeffler, OP. Participants will be invited to read about, reflect on, and discuss a range of spiritual, emotional, and practical issues that arise in our maturing years.

Required book: Janet Schaeffler, OP., Let This Be the Time: Spiritual Essentials for Life’s Second Act (Twenty-Third Publications, 2020). ISBN: 978-1-62785-559-4. **Please purchase this book on your own prior to the September 12, 2021 start date.

This experience will include:

• Weekly reflection videos for each topic
• Moderated conversation forums for vibrant discussion on chapters and reflection questions
• A supportive community of others exploring the joys and challenges of aging.

Registration Cost: $25.00

Date & Time

This faith sharing community will begin on September 12, 2021 and run for eight weeks. 

There is no formal meeting time for this experience. Participants are encouraged to journey on the weekly timeline with other participants as their own weekly schedule allows. Allowing approximately 2-4 hours per week for reading, video watching, reflection, and conversation per week is a good rule of thumb. However, if for whatever reason (e.g., travel, illness, family visits, work, etc) participants need to pace differently, that is fine to do so. Many people find this online forum works well with busy and/or variable schedules!

About AoA University

We will be using AoA University as our online platform for this experience. AoA University is the Archdiocese of Atlanta’s user-friendly course management system customized to this experience. Participants will have access 24 hours/7 days a week to the private, password-protected website. Orientation on how to navigate AoA University as well as technical assistance will be provided.
