Patience McKinnon has never even tried to live up to her unfortunate name. Her sisters would gladly point out that she’s impetuous, fickle, and stubborn to a fault. History has taught her that she’s the only one, besides those crazy sisters, that has her best interests at heart...and she’s not about to let down her guard and let herself get hurt. She did that once...and that was more than enough. Next time, she’s fairly certain that she’d rather just shoot first and ask questions later, thank you very much!

Enter Abel Turner. The suave town attorney has had Patience McKinnon in his sights for years. Sure, he's sowed his wild oats along the way, but he always knew he'd come back to the beautiful blonde bartender that fills his dreams and drives him crazy at the same time. After all, he owes her...and he plans to rectify the bad impression he made in the past with a humdinger of a sensual night.

But that one night may just change both of their worlds...forever. Will Patience overcome her insecurities? And will Abel ever convince her to trust him again?

Join the entire town of Paradise and the intrepid McKinnon sisters in this humorous and poignant erotica romance! Standalone.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book between Abel and Patience. Half the time they could barely stand each other but when they got together their chemistry was off the charts HOT!!!

There were some twists I didn't anticipate to this story which kept it fresh and kept the plot moving forward which was great. Abel and Patience (although somewhat unorthodox when the insults and inanimate objects began hurling) made a hilariously sweet, hot, intense couple that you routed for from the very first page to the very last. When you put them together with their crazy bunch of family and friends and the rest of the quirky town it made for a book I didn't want to out down!

I received a complimenty copy of this book through Crazy Cajun Book Addicts for an honest review.

What a great read! This is the 3rd book in a series although I did read it as a standalone I would recommend reading them in order.
Patience is a strong independent women with a very sassy mouth she was just an awesome character she's been in love with Abel forever but after spending the night together 3 years earlier and an almighty slip up on Abel's part she been keeping her distance. Abel is a sexy hot shot lawyer in Patience's home town and after 3 years of wanting Patience he finally makes his move this leads to an explosive night between the sheets for them both, only the following morning Patience goes back to been cold towards Abel only this time he's determined to make her his forever it's definitely not plain sailing throw in a massive bombshell that will change their lives forever and the re-appearance of an ex this book makes for a fantastic read it's got some great laugh out loud moments aswell as parts that will bring you to tears.
I will definitely be reading the other books in this series and I'm really looking forward to Honour and Zeke's book.

Absolutely loving this series and patience is one firecracker. Abel thank the lord knows just how to handle her. Great laugh out loud moments and some great dialogue. You can't go wrong with these books, which can be read as standalone but once you start you can't stop.

I received a ARC in exchange for a honest review.
    4* read.
This is the third book in the series but can be read as a standalone which I did as id never read anything by this author before.
Patience is the complete opposite of her name, she's mouthy and not at all patient for anyone. She falls for the sexy Abel but he screws everything up. Fast forward 3 years later and Abel's still trying to prove and show himself to the one woman he cares about. To do that though he'll have to knock all the walls Patience has up and that's not going to be a easy job. Complete opposites this leads to some fighting in this love hate relationship which I always love in a story. Who doesn't love a good love/hate book, I know I do. After one night together their lives change forever and as a reader I was gripped.
A lot of drama and laugh our loud moments this was a really fun read in places but still had the emotional parts to. I cant wait to go back and read the other books in this series.

Sarah O’Rourke’s Ready, Willing and Abel is a Suspense Romance that is Book 3 in Passion in Paradise: The Men of the McKinnon Sisters series. Patience McKinnon is a pretend wild child who is very close to her sisters and the men in their lives. Their lives have been a connected chain of violent mishaps. She has adopted a one and done interaction with the male sex until Abel Turner wants a do-over, “Okay, she was getting in way too deep here because Abel Turner was entirely to adept at saying all the things a woman wanted to hear. Somehow, someway, she needed to find a way to get him off her and out of her space.” Unfortunately he leaves a piece of himself.
Abel Turner is the Paradise town attorney working on the case involving the Sisters but more important to Abel is getting a do-over with Patience. “Between her natural beauty, sassy mouth and kickass body, there wasn’t a single quality about her that didn’t call to the inner caveman.” And this feeling had been growing. He knows how he hopes the do-over will change their lives, he just never thought of what it really brings.
Ready, Willing and Abel can be read as a standalone, which is what I did, but I think you would get more out of the stories if you read them all. Sarah O’Rourke gives us a suspense romance with funny, sassy sisters who you want to find their happily ever after. The storytelling is funny, sharp and attention holding. It is a who-done-it wrapped in major humor. You will love the cast of characters that colorfully make up Paradise. I was given this for a fair review. Give Sarah O’Rourke’s Ready, Willing and Abel a try, I know I intend to go back and read the whole Passion in Paradise: The Men of the McKinnon Sisters series.

Thanks Sarah O’Rourke & Good Writing

I was gifted an ARC copy of this book via the author for an honest review.

I LOVED this book. The characters of Patience (maybe by name but definitely NOT by nature) and Abel had me crying with laughter at times throughout this book. And Patience's one liners and insults to Abel were just fabulous. Poor Abel though he does put up with alot, not only from the fiery, hot tempered Patience but from 'helpful' advice from his brother and her family. I hadnt realised that this was book 3 in a series and for me, although it can be read as a standalone, i went back and read the first 2. Mainly to help keep whos who and their stories straight in my mind.
I absolutely cannot wait now for little Honors book and what she puts that poor Sheriff through to make him prove is love for her!!!!

    What Worked For Me:
I must admit, I’ve been intrigued over the past few books, as to how this book was going to play out. You see our heroine, Patience, and our hero, Abel….well, they have a history. And it isn’t a very good one. She has been brutal towards him in the last few books. If words could destroy, yeah, I’m surprised this man didn’t leave town, tail tucked between legs (where his penis is supposed to be, according to Patience). A lesser man would have. But, nope, Abel has proved to be a man…a very worthy man at that and is proving time and again that he IS the man to bring this very stubborn and determined McKinnon woman to her knees (um, yeah literally). After celebrating a family engagement one evening in the family bar and dealing with Patience and her antics….Abel has decided he wants a do-over. Just one night to make up for the bad experience he gave her years ago. Yep, you read that right. He screwed the pooch the first time so know he wants to properly fix the problem and make it all better. Ahhhh, Patience….this girl is anything but her name. She has got to be one of the most stubborn and mule-headed heroines I have ever read in my entire life. That is over 30 years of reading books so that is saying something. She could make a donkey look like a docile lap dog! She has barely any give and I spent plenty of time wanting to smack the woman silly just to get her to give a little bit of lee-way. No worries, though! Abel takes her in hand….ok, I’m not going to spoil the do-over for you. You simply must read it. It is full of fireworks. Not the little sparklers and tiny little bottle rockets either. Nope! I’m talking the big boom ones full of bright and bold colors that go on and on and are synchronized to music. It’s that powerful! But three months later there is a surprise, one that Patience never planned for in her life and that is where this book gets very real. I love the journey this author takes us on from here. From a woman who never wanted kids finding out she is pregnant and the journey that follows after, we get to live each moment with Patience and Abel. We get to experience their ups and downs as they navigate the path that is parenthood while they find their footing in a relationship that Patience was unsure of to begin with. Abel begins to understand why Patience is so hesitant to be in a relationship and Patience learns that not everything in life has to end, that sometimes the end of something can be the beginning of something else even more beautiful. There are moments that are so hilarious that I about died laughing and others so emotional I cursed the author because no book should make you cry so much. This book has a fast paced plot that naturally flows and keeps you guessing and highly entertained (seriously, they don’t even make TV shows this good anymore). The secondary characters are just as enjoyable as the main characters without taking the spotlight away from them. We, of course, have an evil bad person. Well, there is more than one. And, while this book can be read as a standalone, I highly recommend that you read the entire series as a whole to get the maximum enjoyment out of it. Overall, there is so much to this book, and this series, I can’t imagine the time and attention these two authors must devote to create such a well-developed and emotionally-charged storyline. It is truly a masterpiece. And while I am on pins and needles waiting to read the final McKinnon Sister Story, the story of Honor (which is going to be the most heartbreaking and poignant love story of the series, I’m sure) I will be devastated to see this series come to an end. I’ve never met this author (which is a duo of two women) and until two months ago, never even heard of her. But I can honestly say this series is one of the best series I have ever read.

    What Didn’t Work For Me:
Are you kidding me? This is perfection!

    Would I Recommend This Book:
Yes! From the rooftops of my house to everyone who will listen!

4.0 out of 5 stars Wild ride full of humor
Reviewed in the United States on 27 October 2015
I have been waiting, not so patiently at times, for this book. Those McKinnon sisters are a force to be reckoned with, as are the men who love them. This series by Sarah O'Rourke is charming and full of twists and turns that left me wanting more. I will say that there were a few parts that were a bit repetitive and seemed to drag a bit. However, those were very few and far between and didn't detract from the overall story at all. I think they further illustrated how shaken up and anxious Patience and Abel were over everything that was happening.

Patience's character had intrigued me from the start of the series and I was ready to get to know her and the man who obviously adores her in more depth. Firecracker. That is the best word to describe Patience. Though Abel would say Hellion. She is sassy, bold, unapologetic and loves fiercely. But don't cross her or her sisters or you've gone to war with the wrong woman. After one intense night, she finds herself in an unexpected situation. Her reaction- disbelief, anger and then fear were very realistic and true to her character. This is the catalyst for everything else that happens in the book- and what a ride it was.

There is no shortage of drama in the small Tennessee town. If it isn't putting back the pieces after a drug-related shooting, there is a raging ex-girlfriend. As if that isn't enough, there are threats coming from an unknown source and exactly who they're being directed at is also anyone's guess. What I loved was that it sent Abel, and all of the men, really, into protection mode. He isn't going to let anything or anyone, even Patience, stand in his way of getting his woman. I liked that while he was throwing down the gauntlet, he gave his woman the time she needed to come to the realization that this was going to happen. Oh, that Abel. Is is equal parts broody, sexy and sweet. His big grand gesture towards the end put a major smile on my face.

But, of course, there was that jaw dropping moment that had me holding my breath. I was furiously reading to see what would happen and to make sure that everyone was going to be alright. Holy smokes, talk about heart pounding. Ugh- my heart was aching for everyone- from Patience and Abel to Honor and Zeke. Yes! There was a hearty dose of Honor and Zeke in this book. Those two- just- wow. This was is a great lead up to what will be the next book in the series.

5.0 out of 5 stars Ready, Willing and Abel for sure!
Reviewed in the United States on 5 February 2016
Ready, Willing and Abel is Book 3 in the Passion in Paradise: The Men of the McKinnon Sisters series. It is a fabulous fun read!
This is the story of Patience McKinnon and Abel Turner. Patience and Abel had one night of unremarkable sex three years prior to the beginning of the book. Since that time to say that their relationship has been cantakourous is putting it mildly. But even with all the crazy, Abel has always been around to help Patience and her sisters. The story explodes right from the beginning in the present with a scene involving Patience that I will not spoil because I could not do the scene justice. She is her absolute best Patience self in this scene. After this scene we jump back in time a bit and Abel finally gets his "do-over" with Patience trying to rectify what happened the first time they have sex. The story then continues back in the present for the rest of the book.
I fell even further in love with Patience and Abel with this story. One of the reasons these books are so good is because the McKinnon women are strong and independent women and they happen to fall for Sexy Alpha males. I am just grateful we as readers get to go along for the ride. This story like the others is sexy, sweet, charming, hilarious and thrilling. While this is technically a stand alone, I recommend that you read the 2 previous books first so that you are able to truly appreciate each of the characters and their backgrounds. I read this book, like the others, in one sitting because I could not put it down. In truth, I never wanted each of the books to end. You need to buy this book today!!!! You will not be disappointed!!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars this is yet another GREAT story from the Passion in Paradise series
Reviewed in the United States on 6 November 2015
If you haven't read the following books, you may want to do so...Though these are stand alones, i found it much easier to start with these first two books....
Cain's Salvation (Passion in Paradise: The Men of the McKinnon Sisters, #1)
Hard as Stone (Passion in Paradise: The Men of the McKinnon Sisters, #2)
...that being said, this is yet another GREAT story from the Passion in Paradise series. I adore the McKinnon sisters and their love lives portrayed in these stories have been excellent. I spent exactly 5 days of my break from school and devoured all three of these books! Every emotion able to be felt is given to the reader in these books! I've been over joyed, angry, sad, excited, and more! When a story is able to get you to laugh out loud, or tears well up in your eyes then you KNOW it's a great book! These three books did that for me! While Ready, Willing and Abel wasn't as "exciting" as the first two books, the humor in it was a great addition that wasn't in the previous books as much! I totally love this series and can't wait until next year for #4!!!! Great quick and fun read! ENJOY!

3.0 out of 5 stars No patience for Patience
Reviewed in the United States on 1 December 2015
I have been anxiously waiting to read the story of Patience & Abel. I have loved the character of Patience in the previous books. I thought she was comical, witty & sassy. But after reading this book, I don't like Patience very much. While I still found her funny at times, it got to be to much! I found myself skipping some parts where she was ranting or treating Abel like dirt. It was the same thing over & over. She continuously held his past over him. It's not very Christian to refuse to forgive. She was continuously verbally & physically abusive (by throwing things at him to hurt him). I do like how she finally started to grow up...but it was literally at the end of the book. I still want to continue the series. I'm hoping to read a good, strong emotional story with Honor & Zeke. There has been a great set up to make the readers want to know more about Wrath! I'm also getting ready to start The Homespun Holiday. Fingers crossed!!
