Initial Update Jan '24

This year I'm starting out with a goal of $2,024, but I hope to raise that goal with your help to top my previous best of almost $3000 in one year.  

Also, this year I've been invited to join an Extra Life Guild supported by Children's Hospital at Providence. Here's hoping that helps bring in more donations to support this hospital, which is even more important to our family as they just provided emergency care for my Grandmother in the main part of the hospital.

The impact of donations is immense. Here's a snapshot of some of the many ways your help makes a difference. In 2018, Extra Life  donations to Children's Hospital at Providence funded:


  1. The amazing child life team. These six staff members work in all areas of the hospital which serve children and are there to support their emotional well-being. They help make the hospital a more fun place through things like play therapy, journaling, and arts and crafts. 
  2. Scholarships for Parenting with Providence classes. Community donations mean families who cannot afford tuition still have access to parent education classes, which build strong families through the education and support of parents.
  3. Car Seats for underprivileged families. Every child deserves to be safe and because of you we are able to supply needy families with car seats.
  4. Hospital equipment. The much needed Giraffe Warmer purchased this year provides a nurturing, life-sustaining environment for young infants.
Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals® raises funds and awareness for 170 member hospitals that provide 32 million treatments each year to kids across North America.  Much like my niece, who was born at Providence and stayed in their Neonatal ICU for 76 days.
