What's Happening?
A very satisfying pumpkin ale. Goes down tasting like a piece of liquid home-made, warmed pumpkin pie.
This year’s Pinon Nut Brown Ale is named Cheyenne Canyon Ale since all proceeds will got to the preservation of North Cheyenne Canyon. Anyone who has been to North Cheyenne Canyon will know how beautiful it is. This beer honors that beauty appropriately.
This porter was good and refreshing. It was not overly strong and seemed nicely balanced between the malt flavors and hop bitterness.
“I propose to send a message from Pikes Peak to Paris, France.”
“If a dog will not come to you after having looked you in the face, you should go home and examine your conscience.”
“Life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop and look around once in awhile, you could miss it.”
“A beer doesn’t have to be difficult to acquire, but damned if that doesn’t make everything taste better.”
I really appreciate that the actual pumpkin flavor comes through so well in this beer. It is clearly made with real, no-foolin’ pumpkins. The malt bill is complex and fun, while not becoming too overwhelming.
“A little bit of fruity character from the hops, without the addition of actual fruit–which would overpower the rest of the beer.”
“You can’t be a real country unless you have a beer and an airline – it helps if you have some kind of football team, or some nuclear weapons, but in the very least you need a beer.”
