Not only did Beyonce surprise us by releasing an album overnight, she went DEEP with it.
In the song “Flawless,” previously released as “Bow Down, I’ve Been On,” Beyonce samples a portion of a speech by Nigerian author and feminist Chimamamda Ngozi Adichie.

It’s an appropriate sample as the song, and in many ways her entire project, pays tribute to the woman coming into her own.
