posted on by Egan Loo
Yūki Ono, Tomori Kusunoki star in EMT Squared's fall fantasy anime

The official website for the television anime of Kei Amagi's Assassins Pride light novel series announced the main voice cast and staff on Tuesday. The anime stars:

Yūki Ono as Kufa Vampir, who is dispatched to Melida as her tutor (and her possible assassin), but continues to train Melida in defiance of his orders

Tomori Kusunoki as Melida Angel, a girl born in a family of Holy Knights but with no talent with mana

Yui Ishikawa as Elise Angel, Melida's cousin and a Holy Knight who can use mana unlike Melida. She boasts the most talent in her class despite her stoic, silent nature.

Marina Yabūchi as Rosetti Pricket, an elite member of the holy city guards. She is currently Elise's tutor.

Kazuya Aiura (episode director on Citrus, My Sister, My Writer) is directing the anime at EMT Squared (The Master of Ragnarok & Blesser of Einherjar, Kuma Miko: Girl Meets Bear). Deko Akao (Amanchu!, Arakawa Under the Bridge, Noragami) is in charge of the series scripts, and Maho Yoshikawa (Amnesia, Yona of the Dawn) is serving as both character designer and chief animation director. Yoshiko Saitō (A Certain Magical Index III) is serving as sub-character designer and also chief animation director.

The other staff members include:

The series takes place in a world where only those from noble families have the mana to be able to fight against monsters. Kufa is a noble born to a duke's family who is sent to tutor a young woman named Melida. If it turns out that Melida has no talent with mana, Kufa is secretly instructed to assassinate her.

The anime will premiere this fall.

Amagi launched the novels with illustrations by Nino Ninomoto in 2016. Yoshie Katō (Shindere Shōjo to Kodoku na Shinigami) launched a manga adaptation in Shueisha's Ultra Jump magazine in May 2017.
