Q:
Are they still offering happy hour?
A:
They've recently started up happy hour again, and it runs Monday through Friday 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM. I love the half-sized happy hour pizzas!

Do they have gluten free pizza?
A:
No gluten free options as of now and I don't think they will go that route.

Love this place!! It has a cute, intimate interior, and the food was amazing!! I went with a friend while in town for a conference. There was about a 30 min wait - but there was seating and it wasn't bad. Honestly, it was well worth the wait! Shortly after we arrived, they had to stop taking customers because they weren't going to have enough dough!!
Grateful we got in under the wire! We ordered the fresh mozzarella pie and the sweet fennel sausage pie - oh my goodness! The mozzarella was a sweet goodness - with a kick of pepperoni (added) and the sausage had a little bit of spicy kick. Both were amazing paired with their wine selection. The pies were perfect for 2 people - very filling and not feeling stuffed.
If you're in the Seattle area - I would highly recommend!!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1Business owner information

While this may be a popular spot in Seattle for the large warm welcoming ambiance and wood fire pizza, it is overpriced for a $25 small pizza. This is not a go-to pizza restaurant. I recommend it for the one-time experience. However, the flavors are there. The Aroma of the pizza smells great. The service is great.
It's just hard finding GOOD pizza in Seattle. The venture continues!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

I've written a review before but this one is about the beet salad. The best parts were the marinated huge chunks of beets and the delicious yogurt-based sauce! It could use more arugula but they don't skimp on the beets!
I did ask for mine without fennel and a vinegar based dressing they made homemade just for me!
As always the service is friendly!
Price is a beet steep but it is what it is.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

Hi Krista-
Thank you for the great feedback! We are delighted to hear you enjoyed the beet salad and that our team took such good care of you! We look forward to serving you again soon at Serious Pie - Downtown!

Chris McCallister, GM, Serious Pie - DowntownApr 8, 2023Previous reviewThe pizzas are good but for the price, very small. The best idea is to come here at HH where you can get all pizzas 1/2 off and discounted apps. There's usually a good seasonal salad available on happy hour which is nice.
Service is good.Oct 10, 2021Previous reviewI love coming here for happy hour, affordable and delicious. The seasonal items are always a delight as well.
I've also never had bad service here. - Apr 30, 2024
Eclectic pizza restaurant with different pizza pie choices. Excellent service and interesting menu. Wood fired oven and thin crust pizza.

I was craving some pizza during my travels. My Yelp search led me to Serious Pie in the downtown Seattle area. This is definitely a solid place to have deliciously satisfying pizza with thin crust which I always prefer. The sweet fennel sausage with roasted peppers pizza was amazing! For a drink, I went with new seasonal cocktail (non alcohol) with house made vanilla syrup, lemon, and tonic water. It was very refreshing! Service was friendly and attentive. Place is very spacious with a full service bar. Location is convenient and within walkable distance from the main downtown area.

One pizza for two mildly hungry people seems perfect. We finished the dude with no leftovers.
The olive oil no tomato sauce is a nice touch.
We also got one with pear, pancetta, goat cheese and hot honey. This was the crowd favorite! We came back two more times just to get this pizza. The bottom is crisped to perfection and you can't peat the tangy goat cheese plus sweet pear combo.
The cocktails were great as well! We got a hot toddy, nonna's medicine. Hot toddy is a classic and amazing as usual, and the nonnas medicine is spirit forward, dark, and delicious.
Service is always reliable. It's a great place to sit down and chat.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Business owner information

Craving artisan style pizza?? Then you've got to check out Serious Pie! I had this place saved for a while and finally got to try it. They have a few locations around Seattle area.. that's when you know it's good :)
ROASTED PEAR, GOAT CHEESE PIZZA - 5/5
MOZZARELLA, TOMATO, BASIL - 3/5
The limited time pizza was amazing. This was the pizza with roasted pear, caramelized onions, goat cheese, pancetta, and hot honey. The combination of sweet and savory flavors was perfect. The pizza crust was crispy on the outside and soft and chewy on the inside. The mozzarella, tomato sauce, fresh basil pizza on the other hand, was okay. Don't get me wrong, it was still good, but nothing special - just a classic margherita pizza. The portion size was just right. It looks like they also have happy hour on weekdays 3-5pm for $8 mini pizzas, which might be good to try more flavors.
The restaurant has a cozy vibe to it. We walked in around dinner time on a Saturday and there were still a few open tables. The menu is small, but has a good amount of options for appetizers and pizzas.
I'll definitely be back for the roasted pear goat cheese pizza and to try other flavors!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

Okay here's how long it's been since I went to Serious Pie: they were still located in South Lake Union and were called Serious Pie & Biscuit. So when I was invited for dinner recently at Serious Pie in Seattle, I headed straight for SLU. Oops, they're no longer there! Instead, they've moved to the former Dahlia Lounge location on 4th Ave. Okay, so I was a few minutes late for dinner. Other than this geographical mixup (which was entirely my fault), my experience at Serious Pie was flawless and magical!
First things first, yes the pizzas here are a little more pricey than other places, but (considering I paid over $35 for a large pizza recently) not THAT much more expensive. And they truly (some might say, SERIOUSLY) do an amazing job here. Their toppings are interesting and innovative, their crust divine and perfectly fired. Our pizza featured roast pear, house pancetta, caramelized onion, goat cheese, and hot honey. As the server described it, my mouth started watering. He described it as a more innovative take on the "sweet and salty" mouthfeel of your typical Hawaiian-style pizza. And he wasn't wrong. This thing was DELISH.
We also shared a chopped salad, which was the perfect precursor to the pizza. And, of course, a couple of beers to wash it all down. Sadly, we were too full for dessert, since Dahlia Bakery shares the SP space and all sorts of scrumptious, sweet concoctions were available to order. Next time, next time.
Shoutout, too, for the fabulous service which took the experience from amazing to over-the-top. Can't wait to go back because I've GOT to try that clam pizza one of these days!Helpful 6Thanks 0Love this 12Oh no 0Business owner information

I honestly believe that I may've liked Serious Pie had I not had pizza from Lupo just the night before. While I didn't hate my pizza, when I compare it to Lupo (as well as other pizza places I've been to) Serious Pie serves up pizza that's just "A-Ok" in my honest opinion.
Some positives about Serious Pie are that I love the inside of this location it's very spacious and clean, and even has Dahlia Bakery attached where you can order desserts from after enjoying some pizza if you're dining in. The service was also very friendly.
Unfortunately, after trying three different pizzas as well as a slice of coconut cream pie, there wasn't anything that made my taste buds go "I HAVE to HAVE this a second time." I will say that Serious Pie has a great reputation and a lot of fans. That's what drew me to visit them during my trip to Seattle. Just because they don't personally serve up my favorite pizza doesn't mean they won't serve up yours. I encourage you to give them a try for yourself.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - 147994724Jan 21, 2024Updated review
After years of giving it 4-star, I am upgrading it to 5 for the best happy hours deal.
Of course you come for the pizzas. If you haven't had it before, this is a must-try. The general problem with Pizza is the portion. It's hard to have many unless you bring a large group. That's the best part of its happy hours during which they offer half-sized pizza, not offered at other time.
Since the remodeling, they have full bar with wonderful beer selections -- went very well with their pizzas. Since they are now integrated with Dahlia Bakery, you can get a slice of the Coconut Cream Pie, even when the bakery is closed.
This is now a full-spectrum specialty restaurant. I went away carrying left-over pizza home. Yep, too greedy thinking I can eat more when they are half-sized.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Business owner information

Hi Sin-Yaw-
Thank you for the great feedback! We are so happy to hear you enjoyed your recent happy hour experience at Serious Pie - Downtown! We look forward to seeing you again for happy hour - every Monday-Friday, 3-5 PM!
Cheers!
Chris McCallister, GM, Serious Pie - DowntownApr 23, 2022Previous reviewThis is a must-eat for visitors to Seattle. The best value will be its happy hours when half-sized pizzas are available and drinks are discounted. Note that Dahlia Bakery occupies the same space closes around 5pm. Get your desserts in time.
I recommend 3 half-sized pizzas for 2 people and that will leave a little room for salads or appetizers. You will leave very fulfilled. The Yukon potato pizza is the unique one, give it a try. Honestly, all of them are good.Nov 6, 2010Previous reviewFirst, prepare to spend $60 for two in this place.
They definitely make good pizzas. The crust is thin, ingredients excellent, and the recipe definitely unique. One pizza is good for two, if you also order appetizers, but we ordered two.
The Yukon Potato pizza? Hmm, the ingredients cannot be simpler. Thinly sliced potato on top of nice crust. Liberally sprinkle olive oil on top, some rosemary, a bit seasoning, and that is! Yet, I cannot stop eating it until I am just too full.
The other one was Penn Cove Clam. The crust is as usual excellent. The clams give a bit sea, a bit salt, and just enough meaty flavor. Excellent!
But $60!? The pizzas are good. But we share table with 6 more people on a cafeteria style setting on high chairs. Our elbows literally touch the neighbors and could definitely hear every conversations.
If I live closer, I would order to-go. That will be $17 per pizza.
