INSTRUCTIONS:
Please provide all contact info listed below (first five fields). If you have not yet identified the scope of your neighborhood, you can leave the last two questions blank and we will follow up with you (we need location and house count to avoid overlap of neighborhoods and to determine the number of copies you need).
ABOUT THE PROGRAM
The Recycling Block Captain program is coordinated by the Corvallis Sustainability Coalition's Waste Prevention Action Team, and we encourage you to join!
As a captain you can educate your Corvallis neighbors about recycling, composting, and waste prevention. It only takes a couple hours every three months, so it’s both easy and very beneficial to the neighborhoods that are served. Recycling block captains have two primary responsibilities:
1) Distribute recycling information to your neighbors 3-4 times per year, and
2) Serve as a liaison between your neighbors and the Sustainability Coalition’s Waste Prevention Action Team (i.e. pickup your handouts quarterly and help answer your neighbors’ questions if/when they arise).
The action team provides the handouts; the captains define their own neighborhood (number of homes and location).
