Sugar Cookies and Storytime

You will need the following supplies and ingredients to make the cookies:

Supplies
 - Oven, mixing bowl, spatula or spoon, measuring spoons and cups, baking pan or cookie sheet
 
Ingredients
- 1 cup unsalted butter (softened)
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 egg
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 3 cups all-purpose flour

Optional items
*sprinkles of any kind to mix in the dough at the end
*hand mixer
*parchment paper
*cookie cutter, but we can show you a trick how to use things in your kitchen (like a cup) instead
*rolling pin would be helpful, but we can show you how to use a cup or a water bottle for one instead
