- Reviewed in the United States on April 22, 2018This workbook is such a helpful tool for parents and other caregivers to use when approaching the difficult subject of sexual abuse with their children. It is interactive and thoughtfully written. It opens the dialogue in a way that is non-threatening yet direct enough to get to the heart of a very necessary discussion. It gives caregivers an opportunity to either help children who have been abused to open up and realize the truth about the assault and that they aren’t to blame and at the same time offers real life circumstances with questions that allow caregivers to educate and guide children on how to identify and expose inappropriate behavior. This workbook also gives guidance and tools to parents of children who haven’t experienced abuse aiding them in helping their children know what is not ok and not acceptable and allows them to discover and discuss what to do if ever in a similar circumstance. I believe that enlightened children, enlighten children. This workbook may lead to children recognizing something that is happening to a fellow classmate or family member and report it. This is such an important topic and supplying both parents and children with tools that can open up this necessary dialogue is welcomed, needed and appreciated. I appreciate both the workbook and the author for taking the time to create this helpful tool that is truly needed in our world today.
