Treatment effectiveness in neurorehabilitation is best predicated on an accurate assessment of residual and deficit functions, and an appreciation for the impact of the neurological injury on the individual and its interpersonal meaning. This thematic issue provides an opportunity to spotlight these disciplines and their respective utility as useful reservoirs of skill, knowledge, technique, and theory. The contributions showcased in this issue illustrate the synergistic benefits of neuropsychology and psychology when applied to individuals with suspected or known neurologic and neuropsychiatric conditions. Further details about this thematic issue are featured in the press release here and the openly available Editorial for this issue here. | Editors’ Choice Featured articles from this themed issue that are freely available online: Neurorehabilitation of Persistent Sport-Related Post-Concussion Syndrome – Research Article, Openly Available Conder, Alanna | Conder, Robert | Friesen, Christopher Community reintegration following holistic milieu-oriented neurorehabilitation up to 30 years post-discharge – Research Article, Openly Available Perumparaichallai, Ramaswamy Kavitha | Lewin, Rivian K. | Klonoff, Pamela S. | Are information provision interventions effective for people with multiple sclerosis? – A Cochrane Review summary with commentary This commentary discusses the rehabilitation perspective in the Cochrane Review “Information provision for people with multiple sclerosis" by Köpke et al. under the direct supervision of Cochrane Multiple Sclerosis and Rare Diseases of the CNS Group.
