Regardless of if you are a woman or not, you can learn a few things from this book. Moreover, you don’t have to agree with what the author writes to be able to understand her point of view, so it is good for just about anyone to read, especially if they want to hear alternative viewpoints to the one that they already have. There are historical and biblical references given, which you can look into for yourself, and this can also help you base your opinions on your own research, instead of what is being presented. There are exercises to check out at the end of every chapter and plenty to ponder on as you read the book. You may have to stop reading this one and begin to check out other things, as it might open up a rabbit hole that you want to look into. Be aware of that.

Growing up in a Southern Baptist church shaped a lot of my life. As a kid, I was told God loves everyone the same, but when I heard stories about women things didn’t seem that way. Nor did people’s reactions to the stories. This book has helped me push past the personal I picked up as a kid. The author does a brilliant job of picking out these stories and adding strength and new meaning to them. Her time studying psychology has helped her analyze the Bible while making the book more empowering to women. I think this book is a great asset for most women. Even if you’re not religious the book will help you step back from the role society has created for women based oh biblical stories.

Author Bozena Zawisz dives into various issues that many women deal with from a Christian perspective. Inside, Zawisz shows how women can best find their self-worth and life purpose. As you read, you’ll find helpful tips as to how you can grow to be the best person you can be while being comfortable in the body you were given.

Throughout the book, you’ll discover inspirational Bible verses and photos. There are also a few poems included that are designed to help bring the book themes together. In addition to this, Zawisz tells of her own experiences in each chapter making it a relatable read. You’ll discover more about her life and why she was inspired to write this book.

At 150 pages, it might take a few days to read, but the investment is worth it. If you’re a female on the search for a motivational book, definitely consider this one.

“Liberating Inner Eve: From Constraints of Historic Conditioning to Boundless Personal Power—A Christian Woman’s Guidebook” is a wonderfully refreshing book that women of faith need to read. For so long women of the Christian faith have held the “hush-hush” ideology of their body and body image and the time has come that we are able to have pride in what the good Lord has given us in a healthy and more positive light. This book is so incredibly empowering and enlightening for women of all ages and faith systems, whether they have dealt with body issues in the past and/or issues of self-confidence, this is the book you didn’t know you desperately needed to read.

I read this book a while back, then went to reread it.. Eve, the mother of all of us is the reflection of this story. Women have been conditioned to be a certain way from the beginning of time. Reading this book brought that relevance home for me to see and understand this. The book, written by a psychologist, opened my mind to the things that I have been enslaved to as a woman. Today's young women are much more liberated, OR SO THEY THINK... Being free to wear revealing clothes or pump their lips and wear false eyelashes IS NOT LIBERATING, but in real fact, it is binding them in falsehood. To be liberated MUST BE, the liberation of the mind, which the cleverness of this book reveals. If you truly seek to be your own person, free in Christ with love for yourself and others, then read this story. Read it slowly and carefully to extract the real understanding of liberation. Are you clever enough to do that?

I was having second thoughts about picking up “Liberating Inner Eve: From Constraints of Historic Conditioning to Boundless Personal Power—A Christian Woman’s Guidebook” because I was not really looking for something religious. However, since author Bosena Zawisz is an award-winning author and also a counseling psychologist, I gave it a shot. I am pretty glad that I did because this is quite a good read. Yes, it is grounded on Christian beliefs (and yes, there are biblical references throughout the book) but the author is able to balance it with relatable examples and insights for further reflection. It demystifies and challenges existing notions/perspectives with the goal of empowering and inspiring women.

Liberating Inner Eve: From Constraints of Historic Conditioning to Boundless Personal Power—A Christian Woman’s Guidebook by Bozena Zawisz is an empowering book for women. The author is a psychologist who has helped women focus on themselves and their goals to reach their full potential within a biblical framework. This book is a further exploration of the story of Adam and Eve, and how the story of Eve, in particular, has perhaps not only shaped society's perception of women but women's perception of themselves. The author has done an exhaustive job of providing excerpts from the bible, includes poetry, and also includes helpful mental exercises women can explore to grow. This is quite a useful book for women as it helps you explore your inner workings, how to become more confident, look at your body differently, and develop successful coping strategies. There is much to explore here, highly recommend.
