This honey was delivered fresh from the sweet clover fields in South Dakota and transported to Delta Utah where it was spun out of the honeycomb last Monday. It was put in the bottles Wednesday and I drove it home Thursday.
For a week I have been researching honey prices on grocery store shelves, at farmer’s markets and compared the store bought stuff to the raw stuff and I’m here to tell you, you will not find anything with the same quality or taste as what I have in my living room. This liquid gold is priced consistent with the grocery shelf per oz.
Here’s why my Just🐝 Honey is supreme:
* The Color: Extra White classification comes with only the purest of honey. If you tasted last years crop it was called White. Most honey at the grocery store is Amber or Dark Amber. You just don’t find raw pure extra white very often. Think vintage year wine. Every 7 years the sweet clover goes nuts and produces the best whitest honey. It’s the vintage year. That’s why I put 2023 on the label.
* The Real Factor: Raw honey when dropped into a jar of room temp or cold water sinks. This is how you know if it’s real. It sticks to the spoon. If you have grocery store honey that has been mixed and heated and has anything added, it starts to dissolve when dropped in water. Because honey is in such demand vendors add sugar and corn syrup into it to bulk it up and make more money. Pure and raw means it’s just from the bee.
* Pollen and enzymes: You have all heard that if you buy local honey you can have relief from allergies. I have a bunch of allergies in the spring and usually take daily Zyrtec. Even though this honey is not local it is raw. It has never been heated beyond natural heat of the outdoors during transportation. It has the natural pollen in it and all the enzymes. I have put it in my green tea daily for the last year and this year I didn’t need one allergy pill. Not one. From one change in my diet, daily sweet clover honey from South Dakota. * The Taste: This is where I need all of my friends who have tasted the honey to comment. I hear everyone say every time…This is the best honey I have ever tasted. They are not wrong. 😋
