Dear Colleague,

We are pleased to announce that the latest issue of the Journal of Vestibular Research (JVR) is available online (Vol.28, Iss.3-4). The official journal of the Bárány Society, the journal is a forum for the vestibular research community.

JVR is proud to publish the Bárány Society's International Classification of Vestibular Disorders (ICVD) consensus documents, which are published open access. The contributions to this important series formally define key vestibular disorders and represent consensus around these formalized definitions. The consensus documents, which include a number of diagnostic criteria, have been highly viewed throughout 2018 (see below).

Creating a Buzz: JVR's YouTube

Along with the Bárány Society's concensus documents, JVR's YouTube channel has been getting a lot of views in the last few months. The journal's video platform was created for the benefit of the vestibular research community and there are currently two breakfast seminar recordings from the 30th Bárány Society Meeting in Uppsala, Sweden, plus the six teaching course lectures recorded at the 29th Bárány Society Meeting in Seoul, Korea.

The most recent recordings uploaded are by:

-Sue Whitney of the University of Pittsburgh, who covers innovations for treatment technologies from apps to virtual reality; and

-Sharon Cushing at the University of Toronto, who covers vestibular deficits, balance and navigation.

These presentations can be viewed online here, and be sure to keep watching until the end of the video when both speakers take part in an interesting Q&A session.
