JPD Impact Factor: 3.698 5-Year Impact Factor: 3.817 JPD now has an Impact Factor of 3.698 and a 5-Year Impact Factor of 3.817 [2018 Journal Citation Reports (Web of Science Group, 2019)]. The number of citations to papers published in JPD has grown significantly in recent years, which correspondingly results in an increasing trend for the Impact Factor and the 5-Year Impact Factor. Analysis of current citation patterns indicates that this trend will continue. We thank our authors, reviewers and readers for the continuing success of JPD. | Aug 21–22, 2019 | Grand Rapids, MI, USA Now in its 8th year, Grand Challenges in Parkinson’s Disease is an annual scientific symposium that brings together scientists, clinicians, advocates and people with Parkinson’s to explore the latest innovative PD research. The theme for 2019 is "Understanding Genetic Risk", which will focus on the genetic components that contribute to disease onset and progression, with an eye toward advances that may lead to new predictive measures and disease-modifying therapies. To obtain more details and register your place, visit the event website. JPD information will be available to delegates at Grand Challenges 2019: we encourage delegates to consider submitting research to the journal and joining our quarterly webinars. | Next Webinar: October 2, 2019! | The next instalment of our quarterly Parkinson’s webinar series, organized in partnership with the Cure Parkinson's Trust and Parkinson’s Movement, will now take place on October 2, 2019. The topic is yet to be confirmed, but you can already register to join the webinar here. It is free to attend, and spaces are limited. Recordings of all previous webinars can be accessed here. The theme of the most recent webinar (in June) was Stem Cell Research (Cell Replacement) in Parkinson's. Led by Professor Patrick Brundin, fellow panelists included Roger Barker (University of Cambridge, UK) and Claire Henchcliffe (Weill Cornell Medical College, USA), and the discussion focused on the field of dopamine replacement cell therapy for Parkinson's. The recording of the online webinar is now available. | Most Read JPD Articles in July 2019 Listing articles published only in 2018 and 2019 so you can read the most popular recent content The Neuro-Ophthalmological Assessment in Parkinson’s Disease – Open Access (Short Communication in Vol.9, Iss.2, 2019) Borm, Carlijn D.J.M. | Smilowska, Katarzyna | de Vries, Nienke M. | Bloem, Bastiaan R. | Theelen, Thomas Abstract book of the 5th World Parkinson Congress, Kyoto, Japan, June 4–7, 2019 – Open Access (Abstracts in Vol.9, Iss.s1, 2019) Miscellaneous Authors Extended Treatment with Glial Cell Line-Derived Neurotrophic Factor in Parkinson’s Disease – Open Access (View Press Release Here) (Research Article in Vol.9, Iss.2, 2019) Whone, Alan L. | Boca, Mihaela | Luz, Matthias | Woolley, Max | Mooney, Lucy | Dharia, Sonali | Broadfoot, Jack | Cronin, David | Schroers, Christian | Barua, Neil U. | Longpre, Lara | et al.
