Upcoming Meetings

AD/PD 2019

March 26–31, 2019 | Lisbon, Portugal

The upcoming AD/PD conference takes place in Lisbon, Portugal in March. Multidisciplinary researchers from around the world will present cutting-edge research and new treatments for Alzheimer's, Parkinson's and related neurodegenerative diseases. Registration savings are available until March 12 via the event website.

CONy 2019

April 4–7, 2019 | Madrid, Spain

The 13th World Congress on Controversies in Neurology (CONy) will take place in Madrid, Spain in April. It will provide a platform for international experts to discuss and compare experiences, thus closing the gap between the expansion of knowledge and its dissemination and use. Early registration savings are available until February 20 via the event website.

JAD information will be available to delegates at all these meetings: we encourage delegates to consider submitting research to the journal.

Announcement: StemJournal

Induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC)-derived neurons offer much hope for the identification of biomarkers and the elucidation of underlying molecular mechanisms of neurodegenerative diseases, as outlined in this issue's JAD article "Stem Cell-Derived Neurons as Cellular Models of Sporadic Alzheimer’s DiseaseTechnologies" by Foveau, et al. With this in mind, we introduce a new journal from the publisher of JAD.

StemJournal is an open access forum for innovative scientific contributions from the many fields of research on stem cells. The launch of this new peer-reviewed journal for the stem cell community has an ultimate aim: to keep pace with developments in this burgeoning field and to lower the barrier to publishing truly integrative biomedical research on stem cells. Submissions are now welcome via the journal's website: stemjnl.org.
