About this ebook

Hannah Farraday isn’t concerned with finding a fairytale romance; working with horses on the family ranch is her dream come true. But when a chance encounter brings police officer Dale Johnson into her world, can this knight in shining armor make her believe in happily ever after?

Tuckers bluff isn’t done playing matchmaker for the Farradays. Welcome to Hannah, book 8 in the Farraday Country series set in cattle-ranching west Texas, with all the friends, family and fun that fans have come to expect from USA TODAY Bestselling author Chris Keniston.

For Hannah Farraday, working at her family's new equine center is a dream come true. Each of her cousins has found their happily ever after, but she's not looking for Prince Charming. Especially not one who rides into town and knocks her boots over tea kettle.

Dallas police officer Dale Johnson plans to leave Texas in the dust. What should have been a pit stop in Tuckers Bluff is turned on its head when a chance encounter with a beautiful woman on horse back leaves him playing knight in shining armor.

Can fairytales come true when reality and dreams collide?

If you are already a Chris Keniston fan, you will be thrilled with Hannah, the first book about the Farraday cousins. If you are new to Ms. Keniston or the series, you will be excited to finally discover them. Each book of the series is a heart warning tale of love and family. Some of the problems disappear easily but it is exactly what we cheer for as we read the books rooting for these great characters. The people are not perfect but they are awesome and the family is as close to perfect as we could want. The Farraday's know that there is something that BJ is holding back about the man who collapses at the bed and breakfast, a man that Hannah seems to be enthralled with. They can't help noticing that while the attractions seems to go both ways, Dave/Dale makes it clear that he has to leave the area as soon as he can, but he refuses to explain why. The attitude makes the family a bit insecure considering Hannah's attraction but he seems like a good guy. Once Dave/Dale reveals his secret to BJ, the sheriff makes a tough call that will affect everyone. Delightful touches of humor balance the somber moments and highlight the affection among the people of the community as well as the family. I am already dying for the next book!

This was an interesting story. I haven't read any of the previous books in this series and I was able to piece the family together pretty much. It usually takes me a long time to get through a book. This one I had trouble putting down. Loved the way the family circled around Dale without many questions asked because DJ asked them to. And the way everyone helped at the last moment for a "surprise" donor for the therapy program. I enjoyed learning and understanding the dynamics of the story. I am going to go find the other books of this series. Thank you Chris Keniston for making reading enjoyable.

Hannah is a cousin who is going to help carry on the series. She is helper, and equine therapist and life revolves aound helping humans grt better using hirses. She has moved Tuckers Bluff to help Connor and Catherine with their project and dream. She fits in both with the family and the town rather well. She meets Dale when she is thrown off her horse. She has a donor connection which unbeknown to her is not all she seems to be. On the day the family and the town put together a horse show things come to a head and that frees Dale from running and hiding. Like the other books in the series the stray dogs and a puppy make an appearance. Not a bad read.

About the author

USA TODAY Bestselling author Chris Keniston's love of a good story and frustration with the end of a well-known author's romance best seller, drove her to pen her own works of romance and fiction.

Currently working on the contemporary romance series, Farraday Country, Chris brings stories of falling in love, matchmaking, Texas Cowboys, family values, and all around entertaining shenanigans that fans have grown to love and expect from her bestselling books.

In her Aloha Series, Chris tips her hat to the military writing poignant and sometimes funny stories of life with former military heroes. Using popular themes of small towns and sandy beaches blended with stories of the single dad, survivor’s guilt, an accidental wedding and so more continues to make the Aloha Series a reader's choice.

Readers won't want to miss Chris' romantic women's fiction novels that include a variety of themes from international settings dealing with wealthy millionaires, family feuds and tropical beaches, to the relationships between family and friends in small town Texas, and to sisterhood and friendship in the award winning novel The Champagne Sisterhood

A native New Yorker, Chris Keniston was on her way to Australia when she fell in love with North Texas. Little did she know the balmy seventy degree October days would turn into fry-an-egg-on-the-sidewalk heat in August!

Author of more than a dozen contemporary novels, including a finalist for the prestigious Golden Heart Award, Chris lives in North Texas with her husband, two human children, and two canine children. Though she loves her puppies equally, she admits being especially attached to her German Shepherd rescue named Gunny. After all, even dogs deserve a happily ever after.
