But, when on the next day, the victim came to the hotel room he was thrashed by her male accomplice. Police said the woman and her accomplice threatened to lodge a complaint for rape against him, and made him pay them Rs 20, via Google Pay. During investigation, police arrested the accused woman age 27 years and her accomplice age 25 years from Turbhe in Navi Mumbai. Believing her, the victim transferred Rs 22 lakh to the woman's account to help her with her hardships. The victim found out that he had been scammed only after he tried asking for his money back after encountering financial issues of his own. A year-old woman, working for a private firm in Bengaluru, had accused her Tinder match of duping her of Rs 4. He fooled the woman by telling her that he was coming to India to meet her.While the woman was elated to see her boyfriend in real life, it was soon revealed that this was all a trap.
