Foundation for Critical Choices for India (FCCI) & Foundation for Indian Diaspora in Europe (FIDE)

This 10th International Indian Diaspora conference will be about the following two themes

Linking Diaspora with India:

The year 2022 is a special year for FCCI and India as it marks the 75th anniversary of India's independence, 75th anniversary of Indo-Dutch cooperation and 40th year of the FCCI serving the motherland India. it is a fitting occasion to connect the diaspora with India. The third book published by the FCCI, on the theme of connecting diaspora with India, will be released on the occasion. Expert speakers will participate in a panel discussion on the contribution of the Indian diaspora that connects their host countries with India.

Indian Diaspora on the move:

The theme will give emphasis on youth in Europe and the future of the Indian diaspora. Special attention will be given to the sub-topic of increasing political participation in host countries.Expert speakers from different European countries will participate in a panel discussion.

  • Brief introduction of FCCI and its ambitions for the Indian Diaspora, by Dr. Pramod Agrawal, VP programs, FCCI;
  • Theme presentation “Linking Diaspora with India-Past & Present” on the occasion of 40th Anniversary of FCCI, by Mr. Ram Lakhina, President Emeritus, FCCI;
  • Book Launch ceremony by H.E. Mrs. Reenat Sandhu, Ambassador of India to the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
  • Felicitation of Mr. Kiran Badloe, Olympic Gold Medallist, with a short video prepared by Ms. Subhadra Pathak, trustee FCCI.

  • Inaugural address by H.E. Mrs. Reenat Sandhu, Ambassador of India to the Kingdom of the Netherlands;
  • Address by H.E. Rajendre Khargi, Ambassador of the Republic Suriname to the . Kingdom of The Netherlands;
  • Address by Mr. Jilles Gerrit Bijl, Mayor of Leidschendam-Voorburg and former Ambassador of the Netherlands to Trinidad & Tobago.
