For the first time ever, the Arizona Game and Fish Department will be hosting an Educator Information Session in conjunction with the annual Outdoor Expo. Arizona educators will have the opportunity to meet with Department staff and other organizations that provide education resources while also enjoying this popular wildlife and outdoor recreation event.
The Information Session is appropriate for formal and informal educators of all grade levels. It will consist of three parts:
- A brief overview presentation by the Department's education staff
- A short guided tour of the Expo to learn about the variety of educational programs offered by the Department
- A self-guided tour of the Expo to visit with participating vendors to discuss educational resources
The first two portions of the program will last approximately 1 hour. The self-guided tour can take as long as desired and can be carried out while participating in the general Expo activities.
The Outdoor Expo takes place on Saturday, March 24 and Sunday, March 25 at the Ben Avery Shooting Facility in north Phoenix. It is one of the premier wildlife and outdoor recreation expos. It allows visitors the opportunity to engage in a number of hands-on activities, including fishing, kayaking and shooting. For more information about the Outdoor Expo, visit

Entry into the event and parking are free. Families are welcome to attend. We just ask that they walk around and attend the Expo during the first two portions of the session (approximately one hour).
Registration is HIGHLY ENCOURAGED to participate in the Educator Information Session. Space is limited and walk-ins may not be accepted.
Information Session participants will receive a certificate for 1.5 hours of continuing education as well as access to a variety of resources.
