Block 6 Crown Faculty Luncheon + Workshop: CC100 Critical Inquiry
In support of our new General Education program, the regular Crown Faculty Luncheons (3rd Thursdays) will be devoted to elements of our Gen Ed program and each luncheon will be followed by a Friday afternoon workshop to allow more space and time for active engagement. We welcome participation at both and faculty are also invited to attend either one alone.
Both sessions led by Aaron Stoller, Director of the Office of Academic Programs, and Kat Bell, Director of the Ruth Barton Writing Center.
Lunch: Thursday, Mar. 5, 12 - 1:15 p.m., Tutt Library Event Space
During this luncheon, faculty will engage with the concept of critical inquiry as both an idea and a classroom practice, and will identify potential thematic clusters for their CC100 courses.
Workshop: Friday, Mar. 6, 1:30 - 3:30 p.m., Tutt Library 105 (Experimental Classroom)
During this interactive workshop, faculty will engage in deep, cross-disciplinary dialogues with one another to better understand the frameworks of practice that exist across and between the divisions. Faculty will also learn various ways of structuring in-class activities, including cross-course convergences, to teach for critical inquiry.
