Do you have an idea for a program or event that can support students and their wellness? This is your chance to pitch your ideas in exchange for financial and staff support from Buffalo State. 

1st Place: $100 

2nd Place: $50

3rd Place: $25

Golden Ticket: If your proposal "WOWs" one of the Bengal Judges out of the park and it costs more than 1st place...you have a chance at winning "The Golden Ticket". We have judges who have agreed to fund programs that they believe are exceptional to supporting students mental health and wellness. 

All students who participate in pitching an idea will automatically receive a gift (TBA). 

Rules: Be a student. You can submit an idea of your own, a group, org, team, honor society, class, fraternity/sorority, res hall.

Pitch your idea to the judges. If you are unavailable to pitch in person, we can make video conferencing available. If you are unavailable on the scheduled day/time, we can arrange for a video submission to be played.

Your idea must relate to "wellness" in some way shape or form. Here is a definition of wellness to help guide you. If you aren't sure if your program would be eligible, feel free to ask by contacting Paula Madrigal madrigpa@buffalostate.edu

 “wellness” is any topic that applies to one’s physical, mental, social health and overall wellbeing. It may include topics and issues such as sleep, depression, anxiety, sexual health and sexually transmitted infections, testing, safety ex. drinking & driving, vehicle/driving, tourniquets, alcohol and other drugs, food and nutrition, relationships, sexual assault, exercise classes, mindfulness & meditation, stress management, illnesses (ex. flu, COVID, vaccine clinics), CPR/AED/First Aid, LGBTQ, traveling safety, financial, cyber security and more.
